One of my accountability members sent me this today - they thought they were having a “healthy‑ish” day… until they tracked it. And this is exactly why I push tracking from Day 1.

You can train endlessly. You can smash your sessions. You can be consistent in the gym. But if your nutrition doesn’t match the goal you’re chasing, your body composition won’t change much. Training is the stimulus. Nutrition is the driver.

Tracking calories at the correct calorie and macro split for you opens your eyes fast. Most people aren’t eating “badly”… they’re simply eating more than they realise. Guessing your nutrition is like guessing your bank balance - it feels fine until you actually check the numbers.

When you track, you stop relying on hope and start relying on data.
When you track, you see the patterns that have been holding you back.
When you track, you finally understand why your progress has stalled.

And here’s the educational bit most people never hear:

• Calorie awareness - Your body doesn’t care if food feels healthy. It cares about total energy intake.
• Macro balance - Protein drives recovery and body composition. Carbs and fats fuel performance and hormones.
• Consistency - You don’t need perfection. You need repeatable habits that match your goal.
• Feedback loops - Tracking gives you real‑time feedback so you can adjust before weeks go by.

This is why my clients get results. Not because they “try harder”, but because they stop guessing and start operating with clarity.

If you want body composition change - fat loss, muscle gain, or both - tracking isn’t optional. It’s the foundation. It’s the truth. And it’s the thing that finally aligns your effort with your outcome.

IF YOU’RE STARTING TO HAVE A LITTLE WOBBLE BEFORE THE GREAT NORTH RUN – welcome to the club.

The “what if I’m not ready?” crew. The “why did I sign up?” gang. The “everyone else looks more prepared than me” squad.

Here man, I hear you - and this is exactly why I’m posting this.

A little hand on the shoulder from me to say: you’ll be fine. But with race day creeping closer, the nerves and self doubt, for some, are probably louder than ever. I get it.

So if you’re feeling underprepared, questioning your place, or wondering if you’re a good enough runner… you’re not alone.

This is the week where the spiral start to kick in. You start comparing yourself to people breezing through taper week, talking about perfect prep, and suddenly your own journey feels not good enough.

But listen to me, uncle Tiff 👇🏻

The Great North Run isn’t just for the fast ones. It’s for the grafters. The ones who trained around shifts, school runs, injuries, wild weather, and days where dragging yourself out the door felt like a win in itself.

The ones who nearly didn’t sign up. The ones who stopped mid run to talk themselves out of quitting, walked more than planned, but still showed up.

(Any of those sound familiar?)

This isn’t about having the perfect race, nothing is perfect. It’s about showing up with realness.

It’s the person who admits they’re scared. The one who nearly binned their trainers three times. The one who trained through real life, not a highlight reel (basically what flippin social media is all about).

So if you’re doubting whether you can do it, that’s normal. If you’re questioning whether you belong on the race line, that’s only human.

You don’t need to be the fastest. You don’t need to look the part. You just need to remember why you started, and trust that showing up is already a win. And lemme tell you, it gives you bigger balls than everyone sitting on the couch scratching their arses.

If you’re wobbling this week, daint worry. You’re not behind. You’re not failing. You’re just human.

Let this be your message.

Let’s go 🖤

Just sent this straight into our accountability group. First week. First check‑ins. First habits locked. This is how we’re starting September.

We’ve kicked this week off with a free break‑in week for our members. Easing everyone back into routine before we go all‑in on Monday.

And for everyone who isn’t part of Black Sheep but still wants a level of structure, discipline and support, my non‑member accountability programme is coming once again.

A proper system for those who don’t train with us but want the standards, the push and the results.

Break‑in week now. Full throttle Monday.

I’ve spent the last 10 weeks pushing myself a bit harder than usual. Normally I stay pretty lean all year round, but I fancied a challenge, something to see if I could tighten things right up and take it to the next level. Not done it like that for years.

So I set about it.

One full stone down later and sitting in a single digit body fat number, I’m happy.

Could I have gone further? 100%.
Would it have been worth it?
Probably not.

It takes serious dedication and discipline to get into single digit body fat and it’s not something you can realistically hold. Great for a goal, a target, even a competition, but long term, it’s not sustainable one bit.

I’ll be posting in the next few weeks what I actually did and the protocols I used. You’ll be shocked at how simple they are.

But for now, I’m signing off the “next level” body composition work. I’m happy, and sometimes you’ve just got to bow out when you’re winning.

But I will leave by saying one thing though…

PASS ME A FCKING B**R 😆

Food IS NOT a sin!

Your diet isn’t meant to be a punishment. And it definitely isn’t supposed to taste like cardboard.

Truth is, when you understand your personal calorie and macro targets, you unlock total food freedom.

That means no off limit ingredients, no boring meals… and no sacrificing your soul for results.

If it fits your goals, it fits your plate. Simple as that.

Let’s be real - those so called “sins” that slimming clubs label? 🍝🧁🍷

That’s marketing. Not science.

Food doesn’t have moral value, there’s no halo over lettuce and no horns on chocolate cake.

Labelling food as naughty creates guilt, not progress. And it stops people from actually learning how to nourish their bodies properly.

🥄 Restriction might give you short term weight loss. But understanding what your body needs will give you long term transformation.

And not just physical - mental, emotional, the whole lot.

Want to eat pizza and still get lean?
Want to enjoy dessert without “saving” points?
Want your diet to be sustainable, satisfying, and totally aligned with your goals?

Start with your data.

Calorie and macro literacy changes everything.

No sins. No blandness. Just smart choices and strong bodies.

Struggling to get your steps in at work? 😩

It’s a common challenge for many office workers. Sitting at a desk all day makes it tough to stay active.

I hear it almost on the daily and I totally get it. Having to do a lot of admin myself, it’s easy to lose track of time and realise that your activity has taken a big hit.

But don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to incorporate more movement into your routine.

Check out my top 8 tips to boost your step count even with a desk job.

1. Take short walks - Set hourly reminders to walk for 2-3 minutes. It adds up! Maybe go refill your water bottle or do a quick lap around your office building.

2. Use the stairs - Skip the elevator and take the stairs, even if it’s just a floor or two. It’s a great way to get your heart rate up and strengthen your legs.

3. Walk during breaks - Turn your lunch break into a power walk session to refresh and re-energise. You’ll return to your desk feeling more focused and less stressed.

4. Walk and talk - Pace around your office or home while making phone calls or brainstorming. It’s an easy way to add steps without interrupting your workflow.

5. Park further away - Choose a parking spot at the far end of the car park for those extra steps. If you use public transport, get off a stop early and walk the rest of the way.

6. Take the long way - Head to the furthest bathroom, printer, or coffee machine instead of the closest one. Make a game out of it and see how many extra steps you can add.

7. Desk exercises - Do leg lifts, seated marches, or ankle rotations right at your desk to stay active. Simple stretches or even standing up periodically can make a difference.

8. Walking meetings - Propose walking meetings for casual discussions or catch-ups with colleagues. Fresh air can lead to fresher ideas and a more productive meeting.

Remember, increasing your steps also boosts your NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis), which is vital for maintaining a healthy metabolism and overall well-being. 💪👟

Boost your health one step at a time! 🖤🐑

WALKSTRONG 🚶‍♀️🔥

Why walking works even better when you track it.

Most people massively underestimate how much they move in a day, and how much more they could be doing with a structured plan.

Even a basic fitness tracker shows you:

• Real step counts
• Calories burned through purposeful walking
• Distance covered so you can see progress build
• Heart rate changes during intervals
• Sleep quality, which affects fat loss more than people realise

When people start WALKSTRONG, this is usually the moment it clicks:

👉 “I didn’t realise how much difference intentional walking makes.”

A tracker shows the numbers.

WALKSTRONG gives you the plan, the structure, the progression, and the accountability to actually change them.

6 weeks ✅
Interval based walking ✅
Daily habits ✅
Nutrition targets ✅
Real progress you can see on your wrist and in the mirror ✅

Our next group starts Monday.
If you want in, now’s the time to move.

Drop me a message and I’ll get you set up.
