⭐️ U11 Girls ⭐️
*Late Post!*

Last Saturday the first game of the U11 girls season started off with a win for the girls! The girls came out the blocks looking like they needed to blow away those summer cobwebs! Hats off to them for reacting well after going 1-0 down and responding with a goal before the half time whistle The second half they for sure began to play their game and all those cobwebs were blown away! Dominating in possession and pressing hard. Their desire to win the game, play their game and work for each other was amazing to see.

Thursday played some great team football, the sequence of passing in possession was nice to watch at times going forward.

Well done to Alice for her desire to get on the ball and make a difference both on and off the ball. Really great at pushing us forward in attacking and securing the win.

Girl of the game 🌟 Aoife 🌟

Really amazing game today, well done Aoife. She was a game changer on the wing, showing great determination and some cracking balls into the box. Her confidence to take players on and get her head up to make the right pass was great to see. Well done Aoife!

Everyone worked for each other and thoroughly deserved the win. Well done, a great start to the season.

First game of the season away 4-3

Unlucky today thought girls had a great first half with some great goals,second half think girls were getting drawn in to high and long kicks catching them out and leaving defence to try and deal with it ,its something that need to be worked on this week and can improve on it

*Tournament Day!*

Our U11 girls played in the Killingworth girls tournament at the weekend. It was a brilliant day out despite the grim weather at the start and the girls all had lots of fun!

Results wise it wasn’t our day but every girl worked so hard as usual so no complaints from the coaches.

They started really strong and fast as we asked but just couldn’t hit the back of that net in the first game and that theme continued until the last few games.

The girls all did so well rotating round to cover for our keeper Myla, thanks to Ruby, Heidi, Larni and Holly for putting their gloves on to help out 🧤
They all did so well but we are looking forward to having Myla her back on form again soon.

Finally thanks to all the parents for their support as usual and a special shout out to Ace Of Trades Construction Ltd. who supported our girls by covering our tournament fee 💙🤍

*U10 Spring Cup Winners!*

Our girls have had a brilliant few weeks at their end of season presentation, then celebrating their continued success by taking the Spring Cup 2026 Title and finally having some messy muddy team bonding fun!

Over 9 games of the Spring Cup the performance from everyone was consistently impressive dropping just 2 points and conceding only 5 goals. A total of 30 goals with 7 different goal scorers and 5 clean sheets showed that all over the pitch the girls stepped up and delivered week in week out.

The coaches and parents are all so proud of them for their achievements this season and since they started. Managing to win either a league or spring cup title every season, in the top girls division, so far shows how much determination, workrate and resilience they all have as individuals but also as a team. We are all looking forward to seeing them playing again soon. 🤩

*Late Post!*

Last Saturday was a tough game for the girls. Really physical opposition combined with hot conditions meant we had a battle from start to finish but the girls dug deep until the end to take a well deserved point. We didn’t cope well initially with the surface but adjusted and grew into the game.

Despite dropping our first points in the spring cup it was a strong performance and everyone is proud of how the girls work so hard for each other and the team. 💙🤍

Girl of the game - Heidi
This week Heidi worked relentlessly. She was given a job and executed it well taking the oppositions main attacking threat out of the game with her positioning, strength and desire to get on the ball and win it.

Girl of the game - Larni
We had 2 GotG awards this week and Larni took the second. She was asked to play out of her usual position and pressed the ball from the off. Her workrate was top draw, some blistering runs and unbelievable crossses.

⭐️ U10 Girls ⭐️
Our U10 girls had their first spring cup game in nearly 5 weeks yesterday but they weren’t rusty at all!

It was a competitive match against some very strong and fast opposition but the girls held their own and put in some serious graft as they do each game. Working hard for each other and managing the many subs and rotations so well.

Some brilliant link up play and passing sequences throughout the game creating lots of chances. Hitting the crossbar and the post so many times, dealing with the long balls really well and responding to the pressure.

The coaches and parents just love watching the girls play as they give it their absolute all…
Every girl deserved something tonight, hard to pick anyone as they were all outstanding and a proper team game of graft. All the defenders tonight were unbelievable and lots of threat going forward.

Girl of the game - Alice
Alice was absolutely solid in defence throughout the game. Dealing with the runners and cutting off the long balls with some interesting body shapes at times! She then ended the game up front, dancing through defenders, drawing fouls and keeping us up the pitch when we needed it.

Opposition girl of the game - Aoife
Second match in a row that Aoife has been recognised by the opposition, she works so hard and was a constant menace on the right wing creating space and giving the team so much attacking force. She also showed resilience to come straight back on after taking a knock.

With a performance like that it’s hard to single any of the girls out but we also want to mention Holly’s *OUTSTANDING* goal in the first 4 minutes of the game. What a worldly!
