It is with heavy hearts that we have recently received the news of the passing of our dear friend, Andy Sollars. The loss of a friend and role model, who made an impression on everyone he met is truly a hard.

Perhaps one of the funniest people we’ve ever met, Andy was a pleasure to know and spend time with.

His dedication and enthusiasm for everything that he put his hands on, was second to none especially the growth of the girls rugby within North Devon.

He is the number one South Molton Panther, and will definitely leave a huge hole within the Club and all of the girls passed and present.

Our deepest condolences go to his family and his friends, at this very tough time.

Thank you Andy for all that you have done for everyone involved with the Panthers 🏉.

The Panthers will be holding a minute’s silence today at the rugby club prior to training, as a mark of respect and reflection.

Rest in peace Friend always a Panther.

📢 Covid-19 update |

We have had an update from the RFU confirming players are permitted to train in groups of up to 6, maintaining the 2m distance apart (see info graphic below)

The official start date for preseason training TBC but this gives players a chance to get those lockdowns gains burnt off.

Our club will stay shut for now until we have more instruction, but this is a start.

We’ll keep you updated when we have more info.

Good Luck to the Devon U15s and U18s today, especially to the 5 South Molton Panthers representing our club Sophie, Ashleigh (U15s) Playing at Gloucester and to Ebberley , Amy and Sophie (U18s) Playing at Oakhampton today.

Well done to all of the U15 and U18 girls who attended the u15’s second round and U18s first round of Devon County trails at Okehampton College today and represented their clubs with pride from all over Devon.

The South Molton Panthers U15s were represented by 7 girls, who from the start to finish represented our club with pride and with big smiles.

We have just been informed that 2 of the girls have been selected to represent Devon County, which is an amazing accolade and a massive congratulations.

To the Panthers that have been unsuccessful We would like say how PROUD we are of all of you that trailed over the passed 2 weeks, and please keep your heads up because this is a minor speed bump in your rugby career.

The U18s started their trails today and they worked hard all afternoon, with 3 of the girls being selected for the second round trails.

Well done Girls you have made your coaches and the club very proud.

Well done to all of the girls who attended the Devon County trails At North Tawton RFC today and represented their clubs from all over Devon with pride in some seriously wet and muddy conditions.

The South Molton Panthers U15s were represented by 7 girls, who from the start to finish represented our club with pride and supported each other throughout with big smiles.

Their Parents and coaches have just received the amazing news that ALL 7 have been selected for the second round trails in a week’s time 🏉🏉.

Well done Girls you have made your coaches and the club very proud.

Matches today for the U13’s and U15’s are confirmed at home against Crediton RFC. The U15’s are playing their National Cup 🏆second round and everyone’s support would be awesome.
