Fly fishing in Scotland, just love being on the wild lochs in the highlands. Friday was a tough day, still freezing cold. I didn’t touch a fish until after 14:30 after having a few glints of sunshine, the fished switched on. Finished with 8 wee beauties and my first double hook up for many years. Hi everyone, you may have noticed that I just love fishing and I target a variety of species using a multitude of different methods but Sea Trout fishing on the coast is something special. For those of you that follow me on my YouTube channel, Piscator Uk Fishing, will know that I enjoy using the bombarda setup with fly pattern lures/streamers to target the bars of silver that frequent our costal waters. The bombarda setup is a method that I have found very effective, some say I have mastered it and even put it on the Scottish Angling Map, with over 200k views across several videos, anglers are sure interested in the method. However, there’s many other methods to catch sea trout on the coast which are equally effective and enjoyable. As this year’s sea trout season is fast approaches, I find myself looking for a new and exciting challenge to catch these hard fighting fish🎣 💪🏻 Fly fishing on the coast to those with experience may not be all that challenging but to a novice fly angler like me it will be my challenge. Join me on this year’s new journey, don’t worry I won’t be hanging up the bombarda rod for good as it will out fish the fly rod when the weather turns nasty.
