DAKSHIN SURMA SPORTS ASSOCIATION UK HOLDS KEY EXECUTIVE MEETING AHEAD OF NEW COMMITTEE ANNOUNCEMENT

LONDON, 7 September 2026 — Dakshin Surma Sports Association UK held an important Executive Committee meeting on Monday evening at Desi Lounge, Bethnal Green Road, London, with discussions focusing on the restructuring of the organisation, formation of a new committee and preparations for the upcoming Union Cup.

The meeting was chaired by Chairman Akhtar Bhai, with Assistant secretary Jalal Bhai presenting the proceedings. Executive members exchanged views on the future structure and direction of the Association, including consultation over the proposed new committee.

Among the key items on the agenda were the reshuffling of the Executive Committee, consultation on the formation of the new committee, preparations for the upcoming Union Cup, and the registration process for new members.

The meeting forms part of the Association’s wider efforts to strengthen its organisational structure and encourage greater participation from members as it prepares for its next chapter.

NEW COMMITTEE TO BE ANNOUNCED ON 4 OCTOBER

Dakshin Surma Sports Association UK confirmed that the new committee is expected to be officially announced on Sunday, 4 October 2026, at Desi Lounge, Bethnal Green Road, London.

Members will be invited to attend the special gathering, which will bring the wider Association together to welcome the new leadership and celebrate the occasion.

The event is expected to be an important milestone for the organisation, bringing members together in a spirit of unity, friendship and sporting development while setting out its ambitions for the future.
