Brilliant results for our Wheathill ladies ⛳ Congratulations to Ann Gates, winner of the Past Captains Trophy and Jen Warmington, winner of the Maryland Trophy. Fantastic golf from both, well done ladies!

Last Sunday a record number of Juniors entered the Championships and had a very enjoyable day in excellent conditions. Thanks go to the Proshop, clubhouse staff and greenkeepers. Also to members for creating a buffer both in front and behind the field. The Junior Champion was Harry with a Gross 82 followed by the Nett Champion Elliott with 65 (on count back) and Noah, Nett Runner-up also on 65. Six players had handicap cuts on the day and Danny received a sleeve of balls for nearest the pin on 18. Well done to everyone who played and thanks to the many parents who were there to see the players in and to celebrate their achievements.

On Saturday our Junior A team players travelled to Burnham and Berrow for the second round of the Somerset Junior League Knockout Competition having beaten Mendip spring in the first round at home.
Conditions were very blustery with gusting winds coming off the Bristol Channel throughout. None of our players had experienced this course before and acquitted themselves very well, the final score being 2-1 to Burnham with Lucy taking it right to the wire on hole 18. Well done team.......Junior Champs report to follow ⛳

Dream Team!! Singleton qualifies for English PGA Championship at Bowood in July. The Wheathill Professional, with his reliable caddy Vicky, shot -1 at Enmore on Tuesday to secure his place in the finals. Well done team Singleton, go well at Bowood ⛳
