1st XI skipper Ollie Currill’s thoughts on a massive weekend for K&D!
“This is one of those weekends that everyone at the club looks forward to. We’ve got two massive games away at Halesowen, and there’s a real buzz around the boys.
The players have put in a huge amount of work, and they’re excited to test themselves in what should be two fantastic contests.
As captain, I couldn’t be happier with the commitment, attitude and spirit the entire squad have shown. There’s a genuine togetherness throughout the club at the moment, and weekends like this are a great opportunity to show what Knowle and Dorridge Cricket Club is all about.
We’re also hoping to see a big travelling contingent making the trip to Halesowen on both days but especially on Sunday as it’s the National knockout.
Our supporters are a huge part of this club, and their backing means everything to the players. There’s nothing better than looking around and seeing familiar faces cheering us on, especially away from home. I know is not easy travelling, especially on a Sunday, but please try and make the effort if you can. It means a lot to us.
We know the challenge ahead will be tough, but that’s exactly the kind of occasion we relish. We’re ready for the battle, excited for the opportunity, and looking forward to making it a weekend to remember alongside our supporters.”
