Glasses on - Rob evaded. We had a great time yesterday evening hosting Bloxwich for their first real game and they held their own very well.

A good kick up the arse for us getting back in to game mode after a good rest.

A pleasure to play against and now looking forward to the return fixture.

Thank you Bloxwich.

It can be harmful to look at directly for even seconds so make sure you wear the correct eye protection tonight.

Anyway that’s enough about Rob Sheldon..

Yes! We will be playing under the eclipse tonight! Bloxwich will be joining us for a 1900 KO!

Come along and enjoy.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Kay Barwood.

A wife. A mother. A nan, auntie and a role model. A friend. In every sense exactly what our club is about.

There are so many ways to describe Kay, and somehow still not enough words.

It was never what Kay did that made her who she was, it was the way she made people feel. She had the ability to meet someone once and leave a mark on them for life. A kind, straight talking woman who made everyone feel at home. A true patron and flag bearer of kindness.

Everyone has a Kay story.

The love and respect that followed her was and will always be unmatched. The effect her passing has had on all of us is a reflection of exactly how much she gave.

Above all else, Kay was family first. Everything she was to this club, she was tenfold to the people she loved most. Our thoughts, and our deepest sympathies, are with them now. Kay was family and so she will always be.
We were lucky to have her. There will only ever be one Kay Barwood.

Free of discomfort, resting with ease.

Where do we start?

What a fantastic weekend for Civils. Firstly a massive thankyou to Kingswood Rugby Club for another brilliant festival. Huge organisation went into this again and its success was a representation of all the volunteers, refs, players and clubs that were involved.

Going into the weekend with some knocks in the armour, both Civil Spitfires & Hurricanes showed the larger community what this sport it about. The people, community and spirit of the game was present with us all weekend.

We were honoured to receive the memorial shield from Kingswood. Not only because they are pioneers within our sport but because it is a reflection of the effort and dedication our members have given to the club.

Thank you to our families and friends that travelled to support us and make sure Bob had his Jelly babies..

Last but not least - Thankyou to all the teams/clubs present on the day. We truly enjoyed every moment on and off the pitch. Many new friends made as always.

Thankyou Civils!

This Saturday we will be conquering Bristol at the Kingswood Rugby Club Festival - Only the largest walking rugby festival in the world..

Early in 2026 we decided that we need some team names to credit the nearly -100 years of the clubs history in Birmingham and the players that have made it what it is today.

- Birmingham Civil's spitfires & Birmingham Civil's Hurricanes -

We will be revealing our players for each team later this week. Stay Tuned
