Snodland Townsend Hook Bowls Club We are a friendly club with a new green on the outskirts of Snodland. We have a full calendar of events throughout the year. New members are welcome.

The out door bowling season starts in April with our first practice afternoon on Tuesday 15th April 2-4pm.

Whether your an experienced bowler or never played bowls before we are always looking for new members to join our friendly club.
We have two practice afternoons a week Tuesday and Thursday 2-4pm, please wear flat soled bowls shoes/trainers. We also have a coach who is able to give you a few tips or if you are a beginner then help with learning the game.
We play friendly matches against other clubs on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons starting at 2.30pm.

Our green is next to the football ground in Paddlesworth Road Snodland
The green maintenance team are at the green on Monday’s from 9-11am, you are welcome to call in for chat and a look at our club.

We are half way through our bowling season with 3 months left to play we welcome new and experienced bowlers. Come for a visit and chat on a Monday morning between 9-11am when our green keeping maintenance team are there. Tuesday’s and Thursday’s are practice 2-4pm, come along and meet some members

Our bowling season begins in a few weeks time. We have a pre-season meeting on Saturday 25th March 2023 at 2pm why not come along and meet some members for a chat.
Our first practice meeting is on Tuesday 11th April from 2 - 4pm. Experienced and new bowlers welcome, we have bowls you can use to give it a go, please wear flat soled trainers/sports shoes on the green. We have a coach for tuition/guidance.
We play friendly matches on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday’s home and away. We also play in leagues Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings.

The bowls season will be starting in April and closes end of September. We have our pre-season meeting on Saturday 2nd April at 12 o’clock at the club in Paddlesworth Road, Snodland. New members welcome, even if you have never played bowls before come along and meet members for a chat. Tuesday afternoon is for practicing, we have friendly matches on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. We have two levels of membership Full members can play in the friendly games and any club competitions, Social members can play on practice days. There are some members working at the green every Monday morning from 9am to 11am, why not come along and see our green in it’s beautiful location

Bowls England Guidance from 17th May we will be back to as near normal play as possible. No longer required to make bookings for roll up on Tuesday’s (2 - 4pm). Match Game lists will be on notice board in club house. New players always welcome to come a give bowls a try, just come along on Tuesday’s. We will be having an open afternoon on Monday 31st May 1-5pm, refreshments available

A note for solely for members not on our private group, Tuesday 27th April fully booked. Just a reminder you do need to book to play on Tuesday’s as we have limited spaces as per Sports England Guidance. Please do not turn up and expect to play. Also friendly matches start this Saturday and these games can be booked via the Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday captains, or via the normal booking system

Members the club will be opening for roll up on Tuesday 20th April 2021 usual time 2pm to 4pm, arriving at 1.45pm. Changing rooms and kitchen will not be open, you can only go into the building to use the washroom. There will be another roll up on Wednesday 21st April. To book to play please contact Roger or Jeanne, for anyone that has not paid this year’s membership fees you can pay on either of those days or post fees to Jeanne. The committee are having a meeting this week to chat about the forthcoming fixture list and when the first game will be, and how many triples will be played at home and away games

At our on line committee meeting yesterday it was agreed our first roll up of the season would be Tuesday 20th April 2021. Booking system will be in place the same as last year for you to contact Roger or Jeanne. We are still waiting for guidance from Bowls England in line with the government guidelines. Social distancing and sanitising will be in place. Chris will be send letters to all members within the next few days. If you wish to join our club please contact us via this page

The bowls club will be opening for a new season soon, we are waiting for guidance from Bowls England. If you are interested in joining our club this year details will follow when we have a confirmed opening date. Looking forward to welcoming members back and meeting new members
