The end of Summer Series and it was a close run battle for all the table positions, great fun and competitive races. Plus a trip across the road to SBSC bar is another enjoyable end of evening get together.
A huge well done David for winning the series and we’ll all be battling in the Sprint Series to gain the winning position. The following four weeks are a superb finale to MYA racing in 2026. Good luck to all skippers and see you on the the water!

Yes we sail competitively but we are a very social group of people who meet for drinks after racing, help each other out with boat maintenance. Mentor each other especially if a boat is doing particularly well we have a look at their settings. Social sail on a Sunday and members do meet to do this ad hoc, this Saturday being one where 7 skippers were hosted by Paul for some great fun sailing. Thanks Paul!

Friday saw a very tight session last night with Colin’s super light new hull taking the honours by the tightest of margins!
We are now two races away from the end of the series. Have you got your 6 results in yet?
September will see the start of a new mini series, for the September Sprint Trophy which sounds very exciting. 4 race nights, all to count so come and say hello, try sailing and ask for a DF95 for Christmas! It’s a superb hobby to start in 2027!

Apologies for the late post but I didn’t get the results in until today. A lovely Friday evening with nine fellow skippers ready to enjoy 7 races on Snettisham Lake at Snettisham Beach.
A variable wind that also changed direction so skippers had to adjust their sailing course and tactics over the evening. We were kept on our toes!
Below are a few pictures and the evenings results and overall Summer Series results.

Another gorgeous evening sailing on Snettisham Lakes, lots of course changes that as soon as Colin had set up then the wind direction changed. Many thanks for his perseverance and other members who helped. The wind did fill in as we prepared to race but there were a few concerned faces that it would drop entirely.
Thanks to OODs and David W for doing the last few races, it certainly keeps us all in order on the start line which can become crowded on the 5-1 countdown. Just like sailing at SBSC on The Wash when ‘jockeying’ for position.
Well done Jon G for his results including two 1st positions and David N for the overall win. Included are the overall Summer Series results which has a few changes in positions. Well done all!
