P1 in qualifying 🏁

Really pleased, built into a rhythm and just kept chipping away on improving the time as we only managed about 8 laps yesterday due to rain.

Not long till the race, make sure you tune in!

Cadwell Park Race Report 🏁 3 races, 3 wins!

Race 1 - We led from lights out. Tried to get my head down and into a rhythm straight away, hopefully building a gap I could maintain. Luckily for me, Kyle and Sam got into a bit of a scrap over the first few laps which let me pull a small gap. After a few laps I had a look behind, saw I had some time in hand, and let the pace off slightly to try and save the tyre for race 2 🏁

Race 2 - My favourite race of the weekend. Got the initial jump off the line and led the first lap before Kyle Jenkins came past - this turned into a proper game of cat and mouse. Kyle’s on a 765 and mine’s a 675 but the bikes are pretty evenly matched. We swapped the lead a few times as we both tried to work out where each of us was stronger around the track. I sat in behind and waited for the last few laps to make a move, which came at the Gooseneck. Once past, I tried to make a break - Kyle came back down the inside into Park but went in a bit too hot and couldn’t pull it down to the apex, so I turned back underneath on the exit. Getting to the bottom of the Mountain he ran into lapped traffic - I got past one rider, got a bike between us, then past a few more before the line to take P1. Gutted it didn’t go right down to the wire but it could have gone either way, to be fair. Top riding from Kyle - a really enjoyable race throughout 👊

Race 3 - Same set of tyres from Race 1, so I was hoping the rear would hang in for the race distance. Plan was to push from the start and see what we could do with the grip available. Got a good start, led into turn 1, and pushed on straight away. From about lap 2 the rear started spinning a lot on first touch of throttle, so I had to stay on line and not override the bike. After a few laps I checked over my shoulder and had about a second in hand. The bike was moving around a lot on the rear but felt good, so I kept the pace up and brought it home in P1 for the hat-trick! Really happy with that 🏆

Was also under the lap record for pretty much the whole race, on an old tyre! Even after all these years racing different bikes in different classes, it shows there’s always room for improvement - and how a small change in approach can really change the outcome.

A massive thank you to all my sponsors - none of this season would’ve been possible without you. You’re all incredible people and I can’t thank you enough 🙏

Next up is Snetterton in a couple of weeks - hopefully we’ll have a better time there this time around 🤞

Bemsee Donington Park race report - a little late but better late than never! 🏁

Race 1 - Qualified P3 and got a decent start, settling into third behind Sam Hirst Racing and Ted Wilkinson into turn 1. Made the move on Sam into second at the old hairpin and set about chasing Ted down. He pulled a 1.5 second gap early on but I’d managed to claw it back to within a second before getting caught in lapped traffic at the chicane - nearly ran into the gravel at one point. Had to settle for bringing it home safely in second. Ted ordinarily rides in BSB so can’t take points - it’s always nice to cross the line first but sometimes you have to know when you’re beat! 😄

Race 2 - Started on the tyre from Race 1 and from the warm up lap I could tell the rear had gone well past its best. Very little grip and corner entry was a real challenge. Tried to stay smooth and as gentle on the throttle as possible to prevent spin - luckily it was just good enough for third 🙏

Race 3 - Fresh tyre in, started P3 but didn’t get the best start and dropped back to fourth. Took a few laps to work past Sam Hirst and Rhys Forest who was riding really well. Getting past Sam was tough - every time I pulled out of the slipstream the wind just stopped me dead. Once through I tried to get my head down but Ted was long gone by that point. Had to settle for second again 🏁

Overall a really positive weekend of racing though. Mega riding from Ted, Sam and Rhys - credit where it’s due 👊

A huge thank you to all my sponsors - without every single one of you, this season simply wouldn’t be possible.

A very special thank you to Karl at Sussex Independent Financial Advisers Ltd - your support, encouragement and belief has been a breath of fresh air and is just what we needed. It means everything🙏

And to Andy and Sam at AC White Plumbing & Heating - thank you so much for your support and for lending me a van to get to and from the track. You are absolutely amazing 🙌

Big shoutout to Leask Racing for turning my forks and shock around so quickly after the setup issues at Snetterton - really appreciated 🔧

Still a little something to find with the Triumph but I think we are making real progress now. Cadwell next weekend - let’s see what we can do. 🏍️

I don’t really know where to start with this one 🙏

Yesterday I was given the most incredible opportunity to ride Kevin Schwantz’s original RGV500 - the actual bike he won the 1993 World Championship on - at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Kevin was my childhood idol! One of the main reasons I fell in love with racing. To sit on that bike, let alone ride it, was a dream I never thought would become reality. The bike is completely untouched since 1993. An absolute piece of history and a true privilege and honour to be trusted with it!

I was then also given the opportunity to ride Tommy Bridewell’s 2016 Halsall Superbike - which was surreal from start to finish.

As if that wasn’t enough - I got to meet Kevin in person and have a proper conversation with him 😅Along with Kenny Roberts Jr and Carl Fogarty. I still can’t quite believe it!

I was like a kid on Christmas Day 😂

The most ENORMOUS thank you to James at J B Motorcycles for arranging the whole thing - I am SO eternally grateful! And to Phoebe, the owner of Kevin’s bike, and Nathan at Team Classic Suzuki for the Superbike ride. I genuinely cannot thank you all enough 🙏

A day I will never forget for as long as I live❤️🏍️
