It’s that time of year again, the weather is looking great and the sun is out, we have loads going on again this year with sailing lessons on the 6 & 7th June the family day with live band and pizza on the 13th June and more sailing lessons on the 11 & 12th July.

Join us for an evening with the RYA North team hosted by Adam McGovern at Beaver Sailing Club to share valuable insights and take away practical tools to strengthen your activities for the future.

Open to all RYA-affiliated clubs, classes and organisations, this free 2-hour workshop will begin at 7pm with a short plenary session full of the latest updates. Next, attendees will explore the following topic before a group wrap up at the end of the session.

Developing People: Local Solutions for Instructor Training & Development

Collaborate on practical, grassroots solutions for workforce development. You’ll explore how to build local capacity, share best practices, and work together to create tailored workforce development plans that empower each organisation to run its own courses and shape its future.

Light refreshments will be available throughout the event, such as tea, coffee and biscuits.

What a cold way to bring in the new year, but that didn’t deter 7 dinghy sailors, 3 windsurfers and a wing foiler from getting out on the water. Well done to Martin Penty for winning the New Year’s Day race with a narrow lead over Richard Hanby, closely followed by dad, Steve.
