Wow, wow, wow, I honestly couldn’t be prouder of these kids today. You did us all proud & yourselves proud, everyone of you giving 110% on the tatami.
14 competitors, going to the EWSKA karate competition in Walsall entered into 29 events and walking away with a combined medal tally of 26 medals🏅
13 GOLD 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 8 SILVER 🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈
5 BRONZE 🥉🥉🥉🥉🥉
Your behaviour on and off the tatami was fantastic all day. Thankyou to the parents for your extended support through the day & encouraging the children to support one another. I can probably speak for sensei Liz aswel by saying we all had a great day and seeing those smiles on your faces is what makes our job as coaches the reason why I do what we do.

On Sunday 25th, 4 KSKA students entered the Seishin Karate Championships in Willenhall. I am proud to say our club came away with a total of 20 medals X14 gold🥇, X6 silver🥈
Olive & Miller entered up in multiple age & grade categories & absolutely smashed it 👊
Both their confidence is through the roof and as you can see from the smiles on their faces they had a fantastic time 👍
Thank you to Sensei Liz & Sensei Hannah for making up pairs/teams for valuable mat time & coaching on the day in my absence.
Hopefully we can have a few more students taking part in the next competition & adding to that medal tally.

Well done to 6 of our club members for being selected to represent English Karate Academy at this year's WUKF World Championships being heldin Dundee. You've all worked really hard so now lets hope we can bring back some silverware.

Attended the EWSKA karate competition in Cannock yesterday. A well run, friendly competition. For most of the team it was their first time competing.

Nefeli and Andreas performed really well but no medals this time.

It was also Sensei Hannah's first time kata judging!

Back from the AKA Kata and Juruken championships.

First time competing for a few of our students and they all smashed it.

Evie unfortunately wasn't able to compete as she has a broken wrist but came and supported/helped coach

Martha just missed out on a medal (but performed like she had competed numerous times)

Well done Isla taking Evie's place with Sensei Hannah in the adult and child category against a large bunch of black belts. Fantastic effort!

Huge thanks to Sensei Hannah and Evie for helping me coach/keep score as Sensei Craig wasn't able to make this one.

Lastly, well done to the parents for getting everyone ready and in the right place - we couldn't do this without your support.

The team stuck together and supported each other. You would not have known that it was the first ever competition for 3 of them. How we treat each other, train together and support each other is what we are all about. Your behaviour today was exemplary and the medals are a bonus.

KSKA squad attended the GB Open Karate Championships last weekend. This competition was over 2 days and was one of the European Ranking events. Always a great, well run event and very friendly with some large tough categories. Results as follows:

Evie - 🥇team kumite (and solid performances in kata and individual kumite)
Koyal - 🥉18+ sanbon (ranking event)
Hannah -🥈16+ other styles kata
Craig - 🥇Vets Ippon 🥈Senior Sambon 🥉Vets kata
Liz - 🥉Vets kata

Elise put in some solid kata performances and reached finals with good scores but no medals this time.
