💚 2026/27 Club Leadership Announced 💚
Leadership isn't just about wearing the armband – it's about setting the standard every time you pull on the shirt.
🏉 Captain – Paul Watts
Joining us from Chichester just one season ago, Paul has brought a wealth of experience, unwavering commitment and has quickly become a respected leader both on and off the pitch. A natural choice to lead the Greenies into the 2026/27 season.
🏉 Vice-Captain – Billy Young
A long-serving 1st XV player, Billy is the heartbeat of the squad. Whether he's driving standards on the field or keeping everyone in line as the self-appointed Master of Fines & Socials, he brings energy, passion and plenty of personality to the role.
🏉 Vice-Captain – Alfi Harris
Having grown up through our Mini & Junior section, Alfi returned this season for his first year as a senior player and hasn't looked back. He's hit the ground running, leading from the front every week and proving exactly what it means to come through the Greenies pathway.
As we look ahead, we'd also like to take a moment to thank Johnny Spandley for everything he has done as Club Captain over the past few years. Through one of the most challenging periods in the club's history, Johnny led with resilience, loyalty and determination. From keeping the squad together during our move away from our home ground, to stepping up and coaching the team for a season when we were without a Head Coach, his commitment to the Greenies has been unwavering.
Johnny leaves the captaincy having played a huge part in keeping this club moving forward, and everyone at Slough RFC is incredibly grateful for everything he has given.
Congratulations to Paul Watts, Billy Young and Alfi Harris on your appointments. We have every confidence you'll continue to drive the standards and lead the Greenies with pride throughout the 2026/27 season.
