Our Dojo is under a karate federation known as World Shotokan Karate-Do Federation (W.S.K.F).

Established since 1990 in Japan and since 1994 in the UK, Renseikan Dojo (translation: “Practice-Makes-Perfect Club”) has an excellent reputation of delivering a high-standard teaching scheme of Shotokan style karate. Based in the South Eastern area of England, in Farnham Common, Ascot and Swindon, our class is taught and managed by a former Japanese World Champion and an official International Di

rector of W.S.K.F, Ms Tomiko Mitsuoka (7th Dan). Born in Japan in 1948 and trained Karate for over 40 years, Tomiko Sensei (instructor) is a dedicated, friendly and funny teacher with renowned respects from Karate trainers from all over the world. Farnham Common Dojo:

WSKF England Seminar – 20th June 2026 (Watford)

WSKF England will be hosting a Shotokan Karate seminar in Watford, led by:

• Sensei Alistair Mitchell (8th Dan)�• Sensei Paul Allison (6th Dan)

This seminar is open to Shotokan practitioners of all grades, including both junior and senior karateka.

A great opportunity to train, develop fundamentals, and work under highly experienced instructors.

A great day at the WSKF England National Championship for WSKF Reseikan Farnham Common Dojo 🥋

Very proud of all our karateka who entered and competed - excellent effort, focus and spirit shown throughout the day.

Congratulations to those who brought home medals for the dojo - your hard work and commitment really showed on the tatami.

Thank you also to our Sensei for their guidance and support, and well done to everyone who represented the dojo so positively.

Today’s training consisted of a challenging session of kihon, kumite, and kata, with attention given to correct technique and spirit.

The dojo was joined by Bobby Bamgboye Sensei, and it was an honour to train together.

Today we wrapped up the year with our traditional Keiko Osame – the final training session of 2025!

A big thank you to the visiting Sensei from WSKF England for sharing their knowledge and inspiring us with their expertise.

We finished the day with a small celebration, enjoying good company and great spirit.

Wishing all our members and friends a happy holiday season!

Rest well, and get ready – we’re looking forward to training even harder together in the new year.

🌏 World Shotokan Karate-Do Federation W.S.K.F. — Spotlight on Sensei Robert (Bobby) Bamgboye (7th Dan, Nigeria)

Sensei Bobby Bamgboye began his karate journey in 1978, building a lifetime of practice shaped by discipline, humility, and a deep respect for the traditions of Shotokan Karate. His leadership has played a major role in strengthening the WSKF community throughout Nigeria.

He serves in key leadership roles:
• Vice President of the World Shotokan Karate-Do Federation
• Chief Instructor of WSKF Nigeria

In August 2023, Sensei Bobby received his 7th Dan, recognising decades of dedicated training, teaching, and service to karate both in Nigeria and internationally.

His personal motto reflects a lifetime of wisdom earned through practice: “Apply Karate’s Way to everything. This is where its beauty lies.”

Through his guidance, WSKF Nigeria continues to grow with strong technical standards, traditional values, and a clear vision for the future.

🌏 The World Shotokan Karate-Do Federation W.S.K.F. — Spotlight on Sensei Tomiko Mitsuoka (8th Dan, England)

A respected Shihankai member and Chief Instructor of WSKF England, Sensei Mitsuoka began her Shotokan journey in 1966, at a time when few women trained in Japan. Through unwavering discipline and spirit, she rose to become one of the most senior female instructors in the WSKF worldwide.

Present at the formation of the WSKF in 1990 — alongside Shihan Hitoshi Kasuya and Master Kamiyanagi — Sensei Mitsuoka continues to guide students with humility, strength, and a lifelong devotion to karate-do.

Her words capture the essence of her path:

“Karate is everything to me — it is my way of life, and it gives me purpose.”
