This week the team at Imas Martial Arts participated at the Khalsa Primary School Summer camp and all the children did absolutely brilliantly.

Their focus, hard work and effort was immense. Very proud of all the people who trained, participated and helped run such a fantastic event.

Children who had never experienced martial arts in the past, very quickly picked up and began practicing great skills and techniques.

It’s been many years that IMAS ACADEMY has been around to support the local communities and show what strength lies in every student once they discover the way of finding it.

Well done to all and my team who helped and supported the event. Out of the near 100 plus children here’s a small snippet of one of the sessions.

Keeping things rolling, I got half a day to collect my thoughts before the man known as the “Encyclopedia of Wing Chun” - Jesper Lundqvist - landed in the UK and we were back at it again.

Discussing our research, exchanging notes and lots of training, we always have a fun and productive time together. There’s not many that have managed to remain as focused on the traditional martial arts - particularly Wing Chun Kuen - as myself in terms of properly researching its origin, form and function and I’m lucky to know the other guy!

Future projects were discussed and seeds that were planted long ago are now bearing fruit. I’m excited for everyone to see what we’ve been working on. Details to be revealed soon 🙂

End of Year Grading and Seminar!! 🎉🎉

Hi All,

We’ve had a great bounce-back year since returning to full-time classes and we are going to end 2022 with an incredible event!

Part of what makes training Kung Fu and being part of an established organisation is the relationships made along the way, and that often last a lifetime. To that end, this year’s end of year seminar will include Sifu Paul Hawkes and our extended family from Kung Fu Schools under the same roof to exchange, train and most importantly, connect with other members of our martial family. 🥋

Not only will attendees be receiving instruction and graded under the watchful eye of multiple masters of Wing Chun Kung Fu, but will also be taken through some very special material that we have been working on that will supercharge your understanding and skills of this wonderful art over the course of the seminar.

After the blood, sweat and fun, all attendees are then invited to the annual Xmas meal, where lots of the learning really happens! 🔥

This marks an exciting time for both IMAS and Kung Fu Schools and will be the first of many collaborations between our 2 families. We hope to see you all there!
