Being self-employed as a personal trainer definitely isn’t for the faint-hearted.

There’s no guaranteed income, no sick pay, and no set wage landing in your account every month.

One month you can be flying financially, fully booked and feeling comfortable, the next you’re scraping the barrel wondering where the next enquiry is coming from.

Your business relies on people trusting the service you provide and investing in themselves, but life happens.

Clients go on holiday, priorities change, unexpected bills pop up, and sometimes things are completely out of your control. Although in summer everyone does a runner to enjoy & start it all over again in October 🙄.

The highs are great, but the lows can be stressful. That’s the reality of being self-employed that most people don’t see.

Still, I wouldn’t change it. The freedom, the impact you have on people’s lives, and building something that’s your own makes the rollercoaster worth it. 📈

How can you say you “can’t lose weight” when you’ve never once tracked what you’re eating?

Not for a day. Not for a week. Not long enough to actually know whether you’re in a calorie deficit.

You don’t know your intake.
You don’t know your expenditure.
But you’ve already decided it won’t work?

Make it make sense 😒

Remember folks -

No matter what day of the week it is your standards should never change.

Discipline and consistency are the foundations of staying in peak shape.

Motivation comes and goes, but the habits you build and the promises you keep to yourself are what deliver results.

Being fit isn’t something you switch on and off when it’s convenient.

It’s a lifestyle.

It’s the daily choices, the commitment when nobody is watching, and the willingness to show up even when you don’t feel like it.

Stay consistent. Stay disciplined. Stay committed to the process.

Results aren’t built in a day they’re built every day.

When this client first came to me 6 months ago, he had one clear goal - to build a lean, masculine physique.

My answer was simple - yes, we can make that happen.

We started with a structured body recomposition phase, building quality muscle while improving body composition.

Once we established that foundation, we stripped away the unwanted body fat and revealed the physique that had been built underneath.

Fast forward 24 weeks, and the transformation speaks for itself. But don’t make the mistake of looking at these photos and thinking that’s the whole story.

What these pictures don’t show is the daily discipline, the commitment to hitting his step target, the consistency with cardio, the dedication to his nutrition, and the relentless focus on hitting his protein goals day after day.

The results you see here are the product of someone who held himself accountable and followed the plan with intent.

Clients like this make my job incredibly rewarding.
Even more rewarding is working with people who walk through the door, state their goal, and then back up their words with action. In a world where so many people are searching for quick fixes, this transformation is proof that consistency will always win.

Now, after laying the groundwork and achieving this level of conditioning, he’s primed and ready to begin his first clean, lean gaining phase.

I’m proud of the work he’s put in, and this is only the beginning.

If this transformation has inspired you and you’re ready to take control of your own physique, my door is always open.

I genuinely want the best for every person I work with, and anyone who’s been coached by me will tell you exactly the same.

Drop me a message and let’s get to work ✨

The gym isn’t just a place to pass time, it’s a place built on intent.

For some, it’s become a social hour…

chatting, laughing, sitting on equipment for 15–20 minutes between sets.

But for others, this is where real work gets done.

It’s focus, discipline, and showing up with purpose every single session.

Every set matters.

Every minute counts.

Every rep has intent.

Respect the environment.

Respect the people who are here to push themselves.

This isn’t a hangout spot, it’s where you come to improve.

Train with intent.

Watch real results follow ‼️

Most people average around 5–6k steps per day

which is very low, especially if your goal is fat loss.

One of the easiest ways to increase calorie expenditure without destroying your recovery is simply moving more.

A good baseline to aim for is 10,000+ steps per day.

But here’s something that I’ve learnt & that works even better

At the start of the week, go above and beyond

- Push your step count higher
- Get your hardest workouts done
- Build momentum early

Why? Because life happens.

Later in the week when work gets busy, plans pop up, or motivation dips, you’ve already banked the work.

That means less stress, more consistency, and you still stay on track.

Remember fat loss isn’t about being perfect every day it’s about stacking small wins across the week.

Start with your steps.

Aim for 10k+ per day and push higher when you can.

Your body will thank you for it.
