☀️ What a spectacular evening for it!

We are all set up at Adventure Hire Slimbridge and eagerly awaiting the 2nd wave of the 1st Cam Scouts for their Paddleboard evening! 🏄‍♂️✨

The weather is absolutely fantastic—the sun is beaming, the wind is dying down, and it's getting very warm out here on the water. Conditions couldn’t be more perfect!

Had a fantastic Paddleboard evening session with 1st Cam Scouts yesterday. Great fun, lots of splashing around, everyone enjoyed themselves. We have the next lot coming down on Thursday - let's see if they are as well behaved 😉

🌄 SUMMER SOLSTICE SUNRISE PADDLE! 🛶✨

Who’s up for an early morning adventure? We are celebrating the longest day of the year with a magical sunrise paddle at Adventure Hire Slimbridge on Sunday, 21st June!

Whether you want to hop on a paddleboard or glide in a canoe, this is going to be an unforgettable start to the day. Bring your own gear or hire from us—everyone is welcome!

Here is the plan for the morning (yes, we are aiming to be on the water by the ungodly hour of 4:00 AM! 😴😂):

⏰ The Programme:
03:30 AM – Meet at the Blackshed

04:00 AM – Launch onto the water

04:52 AM – SUNRISE 🌅 (The absolute best view in Slimbridge!)

05:00 AM – Head back for well-deserved drinks & bacon rolls at the Blackshed 🥓☕

On completion – Go straight home and back to bed! 🛏️💤

💰 Cost:
Equipment Hire (Canoe/SUP): £25 per person

Self-Launch (Bring your own kit): £10

Bacon Roll & Drink: £10

Adventure Hire Slimbridge

​What a brilliant day we’ve had today! ☀️ We had the absolute pleasure of hosting Dave’s "Hen" party with a fantastic mix of canoes and paddleboards. They had a wonderful time and—miraculously—absolutely no-one got wet!! 🛶🏄‍♂️

​Much to the disappointment of the "Hens," who honestly did their very best to make a splash! 👀

​The rest of our Saturday was filled with so many lovely people hiring bikes, boards, and canoes to enjoy the gorgeous sunshine. 🚲✨

​Looking forward to tomorrow! We’re very excited to be playing host to a film crew filming for Stroud Council tourism. Watch this space! 🎥🎬

Important Update from the Adventure Hire Slimbridge Team 🛶🚴‍♂️🏄‍♂️

We’ve been hit with a bit of a bolt from the blue recently. Our main man has been blindsided by a medical diagnosis, meaning he has to be admitted to hospital on June 15th for an operation.

Because of this, he’s going to be out of action for quite a while, which is going to have a big impact on the paddleboard instruction side of our business.

What this means for you:

Instruction: All paddleboard lessons/instruction are on hold until further notice. If you have a booking, we will be contacting you separately to rearrange for a later date when he is hopefully back to full health. We are incredibly sorry for the disruption.

Hire is still OPEN! 🥳 Our canoe, cycle, and paddleboard hire are completely unaffected and will still be running as normal. If you already know how to paddleboard, you can still hire the gear and get out on the water!

Our team’s health has to come first right now, and we are rallying around our main man to get him through this and back on his feet.

Thank you all so much for your understanding, your patience, and your ongoing support. It means the world to us. ❤️
