Monday 30th March 2026…….Mine and Logan’s final evening after 14 years of instructing at PMAS Sleaford.
To say I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, the good wishes, the hugs, the cards and the generosity of gifts would be the understatement of the century!
Thank you to all my fabulous students and parents for your kind words, cards and gifts and for making my time with you so special and enjoyable; I will cherish these memories forever. Every Monday evening felt like I was visiting family🥰 I will truly miss each and everyone one of you so much.
Logan and I have been part of the PMAS organisation for 18 years and it has been a fabulous place to work. From my first training session under my very first instructor, Jackie Hunt, (who is now my sister from another mister) to all my wonderful fellow instructors and of course, to Mr Garreth Jones who put his faith in me and supported and guided me to become the instructor I am today, I thank you from the bottom of my heart❤️
To my fantastic coaching team, the success of the Sleaford club would not have been possible without your unwavering support; my words of thanks and gratitude will never be enough. You are worth your weight in gold. But, alas, I have no gold so I send you my love🥰
I leave the club in the safe hands of Myles Freestone who I’m sure will coach and guide you to reach your goals. Keep the Sleaford flag flying Myles!
I will watch with pride how you all continue to achieve all you aim for.
I hope to still be around in some way or another because PMAS is in my heart and soul, I may be leaving coaching but PMAS will never leave me! 🥊

Well done to our Sleaford juniors who put themselves forward for the championships today.

PAD WORK:
Daisy and Freddie did a fab job; 1st time for Daisy who walked on to the mat with confidence.

LIGHT CONTINUOUS SPARRING:
Freddie and Harry each had a tough round and for both, in my opinion, was a very close call.

1st time out for Alfred, who fought valiantly against some tough, hard opponents.

1st time out for Finn, who again had tough rounds: HE WON SILVER!!

I’m so proud of each and every one of you for having the confidence, the stamina and the determination to step on to the mats to show your best. You did yourselves proud, you did your parents proud and you did the Sleaford club proud.
Never forget, it’s a win just stepping on to those mats, there are many that never do!!!

A great night in club; juniors and adults worked hard with lots of energy! And then, the best bit…. THE INSPIRATIONAL WARRIOR that is Kate Stanfield returned to the fold back where she belongs. What another fab day at the PMAS competition. Out on the mat today were Harry Francis, Freddie Francis and our coaching team member Callum Brickwood.
All had tough rounds and fought extremely well.
Freddie didn’t place on this occasion but my goodness he put in a sterling effort and took some hard shots.
Harry took 3rd place and equally gave a great account of himself in a tough category.
Callum took 1st in semi contact and 1st in light continuous against some great opponents.
Well done to you all, so proud of you.

These achievements are so deserved. You all worked extremely hard to prepare for this next step in your kickboxing journey.

I’m extremely proud of you all. The effort and commitment you have shown since the very start of your training, all those years ago, is unprecedented and I am even more proud to have you all on my coaching team; you are an absolute credit to yourselves and the Sleaford club. 🥊

What a fantastic night in club!
All 10 Coaching Team in attendance for the first time in a long time, in the junior session, which meant a special treat for our junior members working 2/3 per C/T. They worked incredibly hard: well done!

Adult class was busy with a mixture of members training to our structured class plan and a small number concentrating on training hard for the upcoming black belt grading; excellent training everyone!

As always, a massive thank you to my fab Coaching Team; eternally grateful🙏
