It’s a week since I arrived home from the most wonderful retreat in beautiful Tarifa with and
It was an amazing week with like-minded teachers, some of which I’ve known for several years and others I’ve only just met. It always seems like we’ve known each other forever and I loved spending time with them all.
The whole week was jam packed with Pilates classes, workshops, swimming, walking, fun and laughter. Although we worked hard it felt like I had a week of resting and re-charging.
This week there have been two recurring questions from everyone:
Question 1: Did you have a good week?
Answer: Absolutely, I never doubted I wouldn’t. How can you not have a good week in beautiful Tarifa with and a group of fantastic Pilates teachers?
Question 2: Did you learn lots?
Answer: Where do I begin? I’m still busy trying to digest all that I’ve learnt through the week.
🌞We explored using neuroscience and Pilates, discovering what a great complement they are to each other. It was brilliant to work together through this. We also had practical homework to do throughout the week and to continue now we’re home.
🌞We looked at different approaches to help ourselves and our clients find better movement.
🌞We discussed the history of Pilates and took part in classes ‘in the flavour’ of different elders. This is one of my favourite things to do.
In summary, the whole week filled me with more knowledge, inspiration and love of Pilates to bring back to my classes.
This week is always special for me and I hope there will be many more to come. Thank you to Jo for organising the week and offering such a diverse week of Pilates and fun. Thank you to everyone else for being such great company. I can’t wait to do it all over again 🌞
