Swim Bike Run - Skipton A supersprint triathlon (swim, bike and run) designed for complete beginners. A great way to track progress with 4 events throughout the year!

Ever fancied taking part in a sporting event but unsure what to do? Ever thought of having a go at a triathlon but not sure where to start? HERE IS YOUR CHANCE! A very short supersprint triathlon designed for complete beginners has come to Skipton. A relaxed environment event for those who wish to dip their toes into triathlon for the first time, alongside others who wish to undertake what promises to be an enjoyable morning. The Skipton GO TRI event will comprise of;


200m Swim (Indoor heated pool)

9 Km (5.6 mile) on road bike ride based on the roads around Skipton.

2.5 Km (1.6 mile) Run around the scenic Aireville park using mainly a tarmac surface alongside some short grass sections. Our Events for 2021 -
-Sunday 11th July
-Sunday 12th September

Firstly, thank you to those who entered the July SBR event we really appreciate your support.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of uptake we have to cancel the event. We only have 6 entrants across all the events on offer. It is not viable to run the event, both financially due to the cost of the pool hire, and from a volunteer’s time point of view. We need 15-18 marshals to run the event and as you will understand we can only call on people’s time if there are at least as many participants as marshals!

Hi all,
Our SBR event is scheduled for Sunday 5 July, starting at 7am.
At the moment, entries are low and we're also short of marshals. To run the event safely and make it viable, we need more participants and volunteers to sign up.
We'll keep bookings open until Sunday 28th, before deciding whether to go ahead or cancel.
If you're planning to take part or help out, please sign up as soon as possible. Remember, you can choose either the Super Sprint Aquathlon or Triathlon.

If your young athletes want to take part in the Skipton Kids Aquathlon on SATURDAY, THIS EVENING is one of the last chances you have to book them on.
This is due to BTF's website outage for most of next week.
