What a day for our very first JM-KICKBOXING kids fight team competition! 🥊🔥

I couldn't be prouder of every single one of my students today.

Freddie – What heart. After losing his first fight by split decision, he stepped straight back in for a second with barely any rest. He gave absolutely everything, putting his heart and soul into both performances and showing real courage throughout.

Marco – Decided to step up into a higher-level category and what a decision that was. Winning Gold with a KO inside the first 30 seconds, but still showing complete respect and sportsmanship towards his opponent afterwards. A true martial artist.

Austin – The least experienced of the team, yet stepped onto the mats and gave absolutely everything. Faced someone from his own gym, showed incredible heart and determination, and came away with a well-earned Silver medal. Heart of a lion.

Jayden – What a warrior. Won his first fight while showing great respect to his teammate, focusing on performing rather than trying to hurt him. His second fight was without doubt one of the closest fights of the day and could have gone either way. Facing a bigger opponent and giving everything he had. In my opinion, one of the best fights of the entire event. Bringing home both Gold and Silver medals.

Lexi – Absolutely fantastic. Showed off all the skills we've been working on, landing body shots, throwing head kicks, and listening perfectly to every instruction from the corner. Even when matched against a girl 3 years older and around 10kg heavier, she never stopped fighting and gave everything she had. Taking home Silver in one fight and Gold in the other while showing exactly what she's capable of.

A massive thank you to all the parents for your support, encouragement, and trust. We couldn't do this without you.

And a huge thank you to my dad for helping me corner every single fighter today. Your support means the world.

Win, lose, or draw, every one of these kids made me proud today. They showed courage, respect, determination, and represented JM-KICKBOXING brilliantly.

For our first ever competition as a kids fight team, I honestly couldn't have asked for more.

Now onto the next one! 🥊💙💛

This weekend I had the privilege of training with Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson, a fighter many consider the greatest MMA athlete of all time.

The knowledge gained will be going straight back into our classes, helping our students continue to grow and improve.
