🚨🏉 **Neath Schools Rugby U11s: Season Opener!** 🏉🚨

This weekend, we’re back in action with our brand-new squad, and we’re excited to kick off the season in style! We are thrilled to host Pontypridd Schools at the iconic Lextan Gnoll (Neath RFC) for our opening fixture.

While we eagerly await the arrival of our fresh kit, we’re proud to take to the field once again in our community kit, a symbol of the unity across our region. Our players will also be proudly sporting the socks and shorts from the clubs they represent from across Neath – a true display of our local talent and rugby spirit! 🖤

It's shaping up to be a great day for all, and we'd love for you to join us and show your support. Let’s make some noise for our young players as they embark on what promises to be an exciting and action-packed season ahead!

For our back of the match it went to a player who had started the season on fire 🔥.

Osian Wellington had been training and playing like a boy possessed. He gives everything 110% and covered every blade of grass today. Great work Osian 👏

In terms of individuals, our forward of the match was Will Green.

A big performance from a big boy. Some monster carries to put us on the front foot along with a big shift in defence with some great tackles and organisation.

A good showing for our team down west today as we played Llanelli Wanderers.

An enjoyable game to watch with both teams playing good rugby, and credit also to the Llanelli ref, who was very thorough and fair, and took the time to explain his decisions to all the players.

A strong performance by our players with a great result to show for it.

We kicked off our u11s season today with a bang 🔥

When you put the work in, the results speak for themselves.

Our team have certainly taken their pre-season training seriously, and their commitment to improving themselves reflected in their performance today. We are very proud of them and excited for the rest of the season.

We started the season off with an away game against Bryncoch.

For the forward of the match, we picked Iwan. Fantastic performance all around the park, an absolute dog in defence. We lost count of the amount of turn overs he made in open play and at scrum time.

He was committed and dedicated to giving our backs clean ball and worked tirelessly to ensure we got that. Superb first shift in black and amber.

Iestyn playing his first game back at Skewen and he slotted seamlessly into the outside half position. His attacking game paving the way for some cracking tries for the outside backs, scoring a try himself and he also kicked 5/5 of his conversions.

Very well done to you both 👏
