So I am off to York tomorrow for a very special delivery of the first of my Viking shields which will now be available at Ancestral Name at 13 Church Street in York and while I'm there I can check out the York Viking festival.
My Scottish Targe shields are also available at their sister shop Knights Vault at 102 W Bow in Edinburgh.

So I was asked by a certain Lucy Spraggan ( from the X Factor ) if I could create a heraldic shield for her house recently and she was very happy with the result.
Had to design this one from scratch as there was no history for the name Spraggan.

This is the latest batch of children's shields.
Available in 3 different sizes.
The first 3 pictures are small size at 42 centimetres in diameter then the next 6 pictures are medium sized at 50 centimetres in diameter and finally the last 3 pictures are large at 58 centimetres in diameter.
All these shields are made with a wooden boss and as always are hand painted and finished with a coat of varnish to help protect the paint. They are robust enough to stand the rigours of childhood.
Prices are .....small £15
.....medium £20
.....large £25
There is a £6 UK postage on top of the price for each shield.

These two shields are the same as the ones in the previous post but slightly larger measuring 56 centimetres in diameter...

The shields in the pictures below are the latest batch.made completely from wood apart from the webbing on the edge and the materials for the backing and handles.
They measure 49 centimetres in diameter and weigh just under 3 kg.
They are hand painted and finished with varnish to lock in the vibrant colours.
They each cost £25 plus postage.
