Well that’s another holiday fishing season over at the beautiful Hill View Lakes. It’s been a different year for everyone but we hope you’ve enjoyed your time spent on the venue. We open again next March 2022 and we look forward to seeing everyone again for hours of Rod bending pleasure! Keep safe have a great Christmas and good new year 👍

First light at Hill View Lakes. It doesn’t get more peaceful than this. Not a soul on the bank, fish topping and birds singing.
Lots of carp caught yesterday on both ponds, many caught on floating baits bread been the most popular but take care with the ducks! They’re hungry as well!!

The beautiful Hill View Lakes it’s a bit cooler this morning the fish are topping everywhere. There were plenty of carp caught yesterday and it promises to be yet another lovely day

Lovely day at Hill view Lakes today, we’ve dodged the rain and I’m sure we will have some sun after lunch. The lake is fishing well and there is plenty of room for anglers so look forward to seeing everyone!!

Decided to have a day at the beautiful Hill View Lakes on Wednesday before the weather turned iffy! Me and my pal Peter sat on the big lake near to the lodges and decided to fish pellet waggler, bomb and pellet and paste on the pole. The thing I love about this place is that you can fish any method and catch, which is good to practice the ones you are a bit unsure on. Without going into too many technical things I fished a 4gram pellet waggler fishing 8mm pellets feeding 2 or 3 regularly. After an hour I had one carp of around 10lbs so I switched to my 9ft bomb rod. I had 19 carp from around 7 or 8lbs to about 15lbs so a good decision! Peter the paste fished exactly that on the pole at around 6m and had well over 50 bream and skimmers for around 100lbs, a great days fishing by any standards. I’ve added a short vid, no fish caught during unfortunately but nearly lost my rod right at the end!! 😂
