Tournament Weekend 🖤💛

Last weekend our girls took part in a fantastic tournament, with Swifts proudly entering two teams – Swifts Gold and Swifts Blue.

Both teams were outstanding throughout the day, showing great teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. A special mention goes to Swifts Gold, who finished the tournament as runners-up after a brilliant performance.

One of the best parts of the day was hearing the positive comments from spectators:

🗣️ “The girls all smashed it!!! I’m so proud of them all.”

🗣️ “Swifts Gold v Swifts Blue – before they started I shouted ‘Go Swifts!’ and they said, ‘Which one?’ 😂😂”

Moments like these show just how far the girls have come. Whether wearing Gold or Blue, every player represented the club brilliantly and should be incredibly proud of themselves.

It's finally game day for our three lions!

Despite the late kick off we would love to see photos of you all in your England gear, waving those flags and showing your support to the national team.

It would also be great to see any photos we have of any Scotland fans that are excited to be back in the World Cup!

A huge well done to our U11s who took on Bottesford JFC in a friendly match on Saturday.

With no substitutes available, all seven boys played the full game and gave absolutely everything from the get go. Their work rate, determination and attitude was outstanding.
The first half was very competitive, with Alfie grabbing a well-deserved equalising goal to reward the team’s hard work. As the game went on, the boys became understandably tired, and Bottesford were able to take advantage in the second half. Despite this, our boys never stopped trying, kept battling for each other, and showed great character right until the final whistle.

What made us most proud was the way they conducted themselves throughout the game. They worked exceptionally hard, supported one another and most importantly, came away from the match with smiles on their faces and having enjoyed their football.

A big thank you to Bottesford JFC for the friendly fixture and a special mention to their coach for kindly giving the boys sweets after the game - a lovely gesture that was very much appreciated!

We would also like to give a special shoutout to Dylan, who recently completed his refereeing course and stepped up to his very first game for us. Refereeing can be daunting at any age, especially your first match, but despite some understandable nerves, Dylan did a fantastic job and handled the game really well. We’re proud to support young referees starting their journey and hope this is the first of many matches for him. 👏

Jack’s Community Soccer School are linking up with Coastal School Sports Partnership, Swifts J F C and Lincoln Invictus Inclusive Football Club to provide, INCLUSIVE FOOTBALL in Skegness and surrounding areas.

This project will be targeted towards young people aged 11-16YRS, in particular those living with disabilities and/or additional needs.

This will be a FREE weekly session and to support your community in the right way.

We are welcoming YOU, all parents/carers and participants to join us on Wednesday 16th of June, 6-8PM at Skegness Grammar School.

The perfect way to start your child's football journey, a relaxed session focused on having fun, playing football and building confidence. These sessions are aimed at children of all abilities aged 5-8 years old, who want to play football and make new friends. Whilst we build numbers, these sessions will be FREE to attend to all.
