Yesterday marked the final journey of our Head Coach, Charles Rogers, as his ashes were committed to the sea.

Throughout his long career in aquatics, Charles served many communities and supported hundreds of young athletes. Whether developing swimmers on their path to performance sport or training lifeguards for working by the pool and on the beach, Charles shared his knowledge, experience and encouragement with all who crossed his path.

As water played such an important role throughout Charles’s life, it felt especially fitting that he should set sail in this way.

Farewell, Charles.

With our sincere thanks to the RNLI Skegness and their team of volunteers for handling the ceremony with such care, dignity and sensitivity.
