We were super proud of our juniors on Tuesday, training hard all lesson and working well on developing their Tai Otoshi (Body Drop Throw)

Training hard and lesson by lesson:

➡️ Building fitness and strength
➡️ Developing grappling & throwing skills
➡️ Learning to work with others
➡️ Making friends
➡️ Having fun

The Judo Awards 2026

Don’t miss out on your chance to be at our super Judo Awards Night being held on Saturday 10 October. Who knows, you or your children may even be an award winner or have been short-listed for one of the awards.

The event takes place at Kemsley Community Centre, Kemsley, Sittingbourne and tickets are available from Caz any club night.

Last year the event was sold out and there is a limit to how many people we can seat in the hall. Tickets are selling fast so don’t miss out on the chance to be there and join in the fun with our Judo Awards, disco, buffet and much more.

Ethan Watkin stepped onto the tatami in Switzerland today and gave it 100%

Judo is tough at this level and in a group of 11 that first win is all important. Ethan faced Spain’s Sanz Pastrana in the opening round and was attacking well, however he got caught with a well timed footsweep for wazari and was unable to pull that back in time. Sanz Pastrana went on to take the bronze.

No medal this time but well done to Ethan for stepping out onto the tatami at such a huge event, learning and improving one day at a time 👍

Good luck to Ethan Watkin who steps onto the tatami in Switzerland tomorrow at -60kgs in an historic first.

In what is a truly historic day for adaptive judo tomorrow, 25 GB adaptive judoka will take to the tatami at the Ecole Mont-Olivet Adapted Grand Slam Lausanne 2026 🇬🇧

The event marks a landmark moment for the sport as the first IJF World Tour event to host adaptive athletes, giving them the opportunity to compete alongside some of judo's biggest names on one of the sport's biggest stages 🤩

It’s almost time to get back to judo 🎉 We open as usual for all classes as from Tuesday 1 September in Sittingbourne and Friday 4 September in Walderslade (as Monday 31 August is a bank holiday)

But there is still just about enough time to send us your summer photos in your club tee shirt if you have not done so already and to get yourself in with the chance of winning a prize just for doing so 🎁 👍
