✨️BM Plate Race Report✨️
The 27th to 28th of January was the weekend of the first ever BM plate and the first race weekend of 2024. It definitely wasn't the best weekends in terms of results, but there's still plenty more race weekends to come.
Qualifying:
As per in the south of england, the weather gave us a fairly damp track to start off the day😍. We made the choice to stick with wets but not wet gearing and it put us 6th which is not bad at all, considering we didn't have the right gearing on.
Heat 1:
The start did not go my way at all, as I lost 3 places. I managed to come back from 10th to 8th, but due to other people's mistakes, I was placed 7th🫡.
Heat 2/Pre-final:
The start of this race was even worse than the first heat, but from 12th, I made it back up to 8th. I did however get a 5 second penalty, putting me back down to 12th🥲🥲.
Final:
Best start of the day, putting me back up to 10th. From there, I made it back up to 9th after being very far back from the rest of the pack due to a small incident. I did however have the pace to be in 3rd but we keep our heads high and head onto next round.
The thing that made this whole weekend worth it was earning the Jenner Motorsport perpetual trophy for all the blood, sweat and tears (literally) put into this weekend🩷.
