Yesterday our club ran a Record Status 900 round at SCCA. The weather was not our friend, everybody got very wet and cold but, to the everybody's credit nobody ran for cover and we all braved the day and finished with a flourish.

A very big "shout out" to our "first outdoor competition" archers Callum, Freddie, Jamie, Daniel, Faith and Phillip all who did amazingly and should be so proud of the achievement. I have see so many archers give up when the weather turns bad and you all stayed and hats off to you. Photos to follow

I must say I could not be prouder of all the club members and supporters, the commitment you show makes the club what it is today . Thank you to you all.

Volunteers needed on Saturday 6th June to help with the field party and scoring. Any seniors or parents who could give up some time to help out would be gratefully received. Tea and coffee will be available for all, just please bring a mug.

🚀 Kent Archery Association – First Junior Open Day 2026! 🎯

Get ready for an action-packed day of archery, fun, and new friendships!
The Kent Archery Association (KAA) is excited to host our very first Junior Open Day of 2026. This is the perfect opportunity for all Kent juniors to meet like-minded young archers from across the county, spend the day having fun, shooting arrows, and getting to know each other.

What’s happening on the day?

🎯 Free shooting sessions (shoot as much as you like!)
🎯 Exciting team rounds and challenges
🎯 Lots more archery games and friendly activities

We ask that all parents/carers stay for the full day. There will be several Q&A sessions throughout the day where you can speak directly with members of the KAA committee and ask any questions you have.

Practical info:

☕️Free tea and coffee will be provided for everyone.
🥪Please bring your own packed lunch. There are local shops nearby if you need to grab anything extra.

First session back after a 5 month hiatus and Phil managed to Robin Hood his arrows. 😳🏹

Great days shooting in the sunshine here at SCCA. Full field of Juniors and Seniors enjoying some much needed warm weather.

The outdoor season is now under way at SCCA . All sessions will be outdoors from this point for Tuesday and Friday school club shooting and the Saturday full club. So please dress appropriately for the weather as the indoor venue will not be used until the autumn.

Important Information..... There will be NO after school archery session tomorrow (Friday 20th March). Our glorious leader, Adam, is unwell and so the club will not run. Also there will be no coaching available on Saturday 21st for the same reason.

A few photos of today's County 4-Way Competition between Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and Essex/Suffolk teams hosted by SCCA at The Sittingbourne School . Each county brought 4 Compound, Recurve, Barebow and Longbow archers to take part. A fantastic day and some excellent scores.
