Silsden PF Crown Green Bowling Club

So close to the end of the season. So much still going on in the final weeks as our various teams play for league cups, play in friendlies, play socially and in some cases play for division promotions. You can join us to have a go too in our open to all sessions on Monday evening or Friday afternoon.

On the home green this week:

Monday 7 September
2pm - we host a neutral vets cup game match - Cullingworth B v Northcliffe Park A (our B and C teams are playing away at Craven and Royd House so good luck to our players there).

6pm - open to all session this evening. Come along and have a go. Whether you’re a beginner, a returning bowler, or perhaps a current bowler - you’ll all be welcome.

Thursday 10 September
7pm - Silsden B v Crosshills C (our final Skipton Merit league game of the season)

Friday 11 September
1.30pm - open to all session. Come and have a go. Just wear closed toe flat shoes of trainers. We provide bowls and one of our members will show you the ropes.

3.30pm - Bowls Buddies also open today for younger players to come along and have a go.

No open toed shoes allowed on the green at any time.

The end of the bowling season is fast approaching. Results of winners of various leagues and divisions will soon be announced.

In the meantime, here’s the action on our home green this week:

Saturday 29 August - 2pm - club finals. 3 competitions. Ladies, handicap, and scratch trophies all very kindly donated by our former fellow bowler and friend, Dennis Cockburn, and played for in his memory. Presentations to winners will be made by Dennis’s daughter Julie.
