Sailing Club Jetty Replacement Project 2026
Can you help?
This is your opportunity to build a legacy for Redesmere Sailing Club through crowdfunding.
Our old jetty is now beyond repair and has been condemned.
The project is to build a new fixed jetty, providing improved access to water sports for all.
In order to do this we have to raise funds and the Club needs your help!

The cost of the new jetty and shore edging is £15,640.56 and will be constructed by RA Marine, experts in jetty and pontoon construction. (Constructed Budworth SC Jetty)

Redesmere has been granted £7820 by Sports England, Movement Fund on condition of raising £7820 through Crowd-funding by the community.

If you would like to help Redesmere and are thinking of helping us build a new jetty then please donate.

Any amount would be most welcome.

The new jetty will:
Provide wider space for sailors to freely walk·
Increase our ability to offer events for the members and wider community
Allow space for more dinghies to moor and instructors to coach
Allow more sailing skills training
Allow safer passage for elderly sailors
Allow safer passage for people who are less mobile with potential wheel chair access
Provide good access for Radio Controlled sailing.

A Foggy Founders' Trophy Day in October...
Racers were confronted with thick fog as they arrived at the Club on Founders' Trophy race day.

After much discussion the start of the race was slightly delayed and a short course was set. This enabled the Safety boat crew to have all boats visible.

Depsite the fog and very little wind The Founders' Trophy took place and full congratulations to Jemima for coming first in her Topper!

Prize Giving Evening 5th July 25
A wonderful evening of celebrating the Award winners from 2024.
Over 40 trophies were presented by Jonathan, the Club's Commodore, to a wide range of competitors. The Awards reflected the hard sailing by all over the 2024 Season. The trophies were for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions over all of the races held last year. There was also recognistion for Novice racers and Juniors. Chris White and Brian Hamilton were the main winners with Sharon Holford taking a clean sweep of the Midweek Pursuit Series.

Particular congratulations goes to these winners of the discretionary trophies: Alex Strickland; Wilf Ford Trophy. Chris Drake; Elliot Hanson Trophy. Jemima Woodcock; Cygnet Trophy

A full list of winners can be found below.

The event was well attended and everyone was delighted to be served very tasty canapies made by Sharon and the Social Team. A huge thank you to them and Ian who ran the Bar.

A new addtion to the presentation was a quick fire quiz with questions about the racing last year. You can attempt the quiz yourself at the end of this Grebe.

Thanks also to Mark for taking the photos. Awards' Evening 2025

The Awards Evening is also a reflection on the fantastic organisation that makes the sailing calendar happen and in particular to all of the Safety, OD and AOD duites with out which, the racing could not take place.
