1 - I wouldn’t diet before I went, I wouldn’t restrict the foods that I like because I know that leads to the blow out mentality whilst on holiday.

2 - I would pack clothes that fit me and I felt nice in, there’s nothing worse than being hot and wearing tight clothes, the sensory aspect really affects decision making and brings overwhelm that little bit closer than it needs to be.

3 - I would tap into how hungry I am and I would stop when I’m full.

4 - I wouldn’t be planning on getting back “on it” the Monday after, that makes that the blow out will just be even bigger and the Tuesday after your holiday miserable….
5 - I would eat regularly on holiday and not just ice creams, I would still be getting in lots of protein and fibre (especially the fibre IYKYK)

6 - If I was going with my kids I would devise a strategy to make meal times as easy as possible, this means looking at timings for both them and you to eat, how to keep them entertained and what it looks like for you.

7 - I would book a 90 min call in with me, because I can do all that and more in 90mins, which will allow you to go away, actually enjoy the food, not overeat and come back feeling like you had a great time instead of needing to diet straight away (well after the Sunday night Chinese).

100 episodes. I know. I actually can't believe it.

I've not done a tips episode this week. No framework, nothing to write down.

I just thought, what do you do for 100?

And I decided to just tell you my life story.

No notes, nothing planned, just me hiding in my stepdaughter's bedroom rambling at you.

I know that sounds a bit self-indulgent but honestly the more you know me the more everything else I say just makes sense.

Because my childhood and education is literally what makes me.

So bear with me.

There's a reason I do what I do.

It didn't just happen.

It went from sport mad kid → PE family → Sport Science Degree → Personal Trainer → standing on a gym floor realising the hour in the gym had absolutely nothing to do with the results these women were getting.

It was the conversations.

About the stress.

The food.

The dropping off after four weeks.

The I'll start Monday.

The all or nothing.

Every single time.

And I just got completely obsessed with why.

Why do we do the things we say we don't want to do?

That's what this episode is really about.

Super proud that Chatting with Cara drops its 100th episode tomorrow.

When I started it, I had no idea what 100 episodes would sound and look like. But here I am and I’m incredibly proud of the catalogue of podcasts that I’ve made.

I’ve talked about everything from people pleasing, emotional eating, to wearing the shorts, to preparing for holidays and lots of other things.

When someone tells me that they’ve been listening on their commute or I see the spike on the analytics that someone has binged 6 episodes, it honestly makes my heart so full.
