1 - I wouldn’t diet before I went, I wouldn’t restrict the foods that I like because I know that leads to the blow out mentality whilst on holiday.
2 - I would pack clothes that fit me and I felt nice in, there’s nothing worse than being hot and wearing tight clothes, the sensory aspect really affects decision making and brings overwhelm that little bit closer than it needs to be.
3 - I would tap into how hungry I am and I would stop when I’m full.
4 - I wouldn’t be planning on getting back “on it” the Monday after, that makes that the blow out will just be even bigger and the Tuesday after your holiday miserable….
5 - I would eat regularly on holiday and not just ice creams, I would still be getting in lots of protein and fibre (especially the fibre IYKYK)
6 - If I was going with my kids I would devise a strategy to make meal times as easy as possible, this means looking at timings for both them and you to eat, how to keep them entertained and what it looks like for you.
7 - I would book a 90 min call in with me, because I can do all that and more in 90mins, which will allow you to go away, actually enjoy the food, not overeat and come back feeling like you had a great time instead of needing to diet straight away (well after the Sunday night Chinese).
