Footlights Dance School Footlights Dance school offers dance classes for children aged 3 upwards following the IDTA Syllabus

Classes are held weekly in term time and we offer IDTA dance examinations and performance opportunities throughout the year. Classes are held at:

Mereside Community Centre
Shrewsbury United Reformed Church

BOOK NOW - £10 per workshop per student - open to EVERYONE!

Hoin Rosie, Daisy, Rhian and Alex this Summer for Dance and Musical Theatre workshops so you can get your dancing fix during the holidays.

2 hour sessions being part funded by our wonderful Friends of Footlights Committee at an amazing price of £10 per student per workshop.

🌞 6th August - Jazz Technique and Choreo with Rosie
🌞 13th August - Commercial with Daisy
🌞 20th August - Musical Theatre with Rhian
🌞 27th August - Acro Dance with Alex

💜 BRAND NEW JUNIOR LYRICAL JAZZ CLASS💜

Following the success of our Taster Lyrical Jazz sessions we are adding a new class to our timetable for Juniors in school year 4 - 6.

There will be 5 weeks of classes in this current term starting Thursday 18th June. £30 for 5 classes and payment is at the time of booking.

OR - sign up for a 3 week trial in our September term starting w/c 7th September.

What is Lyrical Jazz?

🌟 A slow and emotive dance style incorporating ballet and jazz techniques through expressive storytelling. Beautiful to watch and beautiful to perform.

🌟 Skills include spins, leaps, kicks, balances, partnering and lifts. A strong ballet and jazz knowledge aids choreography and style.

🌟 Use of ballads and slow emotive lyrical songs enables dances to tell and story through movement. Pupils are encouraged to develop skills in choreography.

Triple threat Georgia has been auditioning for some fabulous colleges for September and is absolutely over the moon to have received a plethora of offers with her most recent being at .hammond and ⭐⭐⭐

Georgia is one of the busiest performers we know and she has worked so hard to keep reaching her dream - whatever you decide, we know you will absoutely smash it and all with a big smile on your face!
