A massive weekend of tennis concluded with some thrilling, hard-fought finals, topped off by a fantastic Captains Day tournament. The energy on and off the court made it a end-of-season to remember.

Huge congratulations to our 2026 singles Club Champions!
In the Men's Final, Harry Wyke put on an incredible performance to claim his very first title in a hard-fought match against Jon Gidney.
Over in the Ladies' Final, Grace Turney proved unstoppable once again, securing back-to-back championships with a brilliant victory over Hattie Leslie Miller.
A massive round of applause to all four finalists for giving us two unforgettable matches, and a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support and make the atmosphere so electric.
Here’s to another fantastic year of tennis at the club! 🎾✨

* 6:30 PM: Kick off the Autumn season with a high-stakes home derby as our Autumn Mixed Doubles 1st Team battles our 2nd Team!
Saturday
* 3:00 PM: Men’s Club Champs Semi-Final — Mike & Hugh go head-to-head against Tom & Harry for a spot in Sunday's final.
* 4:15 PM (approx.): Club Championship Finals on Courts 7 & 8!
* Men’s Singles Final: Jon Gidney vs. Harry Wyke
* Ladies' Singles Final: Grace Turney vs. Hattie Leslie-Miller
Sunday
* From 1:00 PM: Three Club Championship Doubles Finals back-to-back!

🎾 Huge Summer of Tennis Success for Grace! 🎾
We want to send a massive congratulations to Grace for an incredible summer season of tennis!
Grace’s impressive run started back in June when she won the Shropshire county final of the Play Your Way to Wimbledon tournament. That qualified her for the junior national finals, taking her all the way to the iconic grass courts of Wimbledon! Competing in the U14 girls tournament alongside 47 top players from across the country—and reaching the final 16—was an unforgettable experience.
Her strong form continued across the region throughout the summer:
* Abingdon: Champion in the U18 Grade 4 tournament.
* Carisbrooke: Runner-up in both the U14 and U16 Grade 3 regional tournaments, knocking out the top seed in both semi-finals!
To cap off an extraordinary summer, Grace had a incredible week at the Shropshire County Championships, sweeping three titles:
🏆 U14 Girls Singles Champion
🏆 U14 Mixed Doubles Champion
🏆 U14 Girls Doubles Champion (won alongside her little sister, Izzy—a hugely special highlight for the family!)

This week we see the last two summer league matches.

Tomorrow night the Men's 2nd team head to Wem where they have a vital match to gain promotion to the Premier league, they just need a draw to secure this.
Also on Thursday the Men's 6th team head to Worfield.
