Town Walls Tennis Club Town Walls Tennis Club is situated by the River Severn and under the historic town walls of the picturesque medieval town of Shrewsbury.

The present Club was established in the 1950s, when the three courts and the club house were all refurbished.

🎀 A Huge Thank You – Afternoon Tea & Tennis for Breast Cancer Now 🎀

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made a donation to Breast Cancer Now online, via the Town Walls account, or by cash at today’s Afternoon Tea & Tennis event.

Your generosity has been incredible. Thanks to the kindness of our members, families and friends, £577 has already been raised, with the final total still to come! 💗

Well done to all 16 players who took part in the tournament and coped so well in the very warm conditions!

🍰 Thank you to everyone who baked or donated the delicious cakes, and to all those who helped by making tea, washing up and clearing away throughout the afternoon. Your support made the event such a success.

More Junior Coaching Courses Coming Soon!

We’re currently planning our next programme of junior coaching sessions and would love to hear from families who may be interested.

If your child would like to take part in future coaching courses, please register your interest by emailing [email protected] and include:

This will help us plan future courses and ensure we offer sessions suitable for different age groups and abilities.

Hi guys! I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone that came down today! It was so nice to see so many people come together for a great cause!

We had a great selection of cakes as well so thanks to everyone that baked a cake ❤️

Between people that played in the early Sunday session, people that came in for the found raising and people that came to play a match later on, we had an amazing turnout!

I am ever so grateful for all the support and I am happy to say that the total amount raised was £403!!! Which is absolutely incredible.

Thank you all so much for all the support and bringing such a great energy !

What an amazing community to be part of 🎾❤️

A fantastic 4–0 win for TW1 against Hanmer 1 last night! 🎾💪

The windy conditions certainly made for a challenging evening, but the team rose to the occasion with a superb performance across all four rubbers.

🎾☕🍰 What a brilliant morning of tennis, coffee and cake!

A huge thank you to Sally for organising such a lovely event and to Anne for expertly running the tournament. Congratulations to Sue and Will, who topped the leaderboard with the most points on the day! 🏆👏

It was fantastic to see so many members enjoying great tennis, good company and plenty of cake. And, of course, a special thank you to the weather gods for keeping the rain away! ☀️😊
