The 2024/25 winter season leagues are set, the AGM is done and the players are raring to go. We wish everyone taking part in Chimmies, daytime and evening leagues the very best of luck.

The Monday night Aussie Pairs League is the only regular evening event at the club. We hope to have either a friendly mini singles event or knockout in late January to March to try and get this off the ground, with the hope of a league next season. The Winter season begins next Monday with 5 leagues, Monday Aussie pairs and triples, Wednesday Vets triples, Thursday triples, Friday singles.
The Monday evening Aussie pairs league is being assembled at the moment and it is hoped that all six rinks will be in use and the league start on Monday 24th October. Many thanks to Steve Watkins for his efforts in recruiting teams to play in this league.
Chummies continues on a Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm to accommodate new bowlers and those not currently involved in club leagues.

The Indoor Bowls club has purchased BOWR indoor bowls club software package to run membership, leagues, finance and competitions. BOWLR is use to run and manage more than 100 indoor bowling clubs in the country and is tried and tested. With the loss of Ernie Shea and Elizabeth Taylor who put in many hours with both membership and leagues in the club office, the club had to find a less labour intensive way of performing these functions.
The BOWLR package can be updated remotely and does not require use of a single computer in an office. This will put the club on a solid foundation for the future. Members will be given access to the BOWLR system via the club website so that fixtures and rink bookings can be viewed anywhere.

The committee has lost 6 experienced members and needs members to step up and carry on their work.New committee members will bring new ideas to running the club with enthusiasm.
The club AGM will be held on Thursday next week, 13/10 at 7.30 pm.
