At Hire a Canoe, we offer canoe and kayak hire on the River Severn in Shrewsbury. Whether you want to enjoy an hour paddling our Shrewsbury town, or take part in our 12-mile river day trip paddling through the peaceful countryside of Shrewsbury.

🛶 That’s a wrap on our 2026 season!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on the water this year. From quarry paddles to river adventures, it’s been an amazing season, and it wouldn’t have been the same without you.

We're proud to be supporting the Severn Together Canoe Campaign by providing canoes for participants taking on the six-day journey. 🛶

Starting in Llanidloes and ending in Bridgnorth, the campaign aims to raise awareness of flooding, drought, and the need for long-term water management solutions across the Severn Valley. 🌊
