Shropshire Sailing Club We are a friendly club that aims to accommodate the interests of individuals, families, keen racers and those who just enjoy “messing about in boats”.

Whitemere provides beginners with safe sailing in attractive surroundings but the surrounding trees can give rise to fluky winds which can test the skills of the most experienced sailor. It's a delightful place to spend a sunny summer day even if you don't manage to get into a boat! New members are always welcome.

It was great to see over 200 visitors attending Shropshire Sailing Club’s open day on bank holiday Monday.

Our Bank Holiday Open Day proved to be a great success despite light winds, with over 200 visitors attending and many enjoying their first or returning Sailing experience.

Ever wanted to try sailing? Now is your chance!

Our friendly Sailing Club will be opening its doors for our free, annual Open Day and we would like to invite you to come and join us on the water for some fun. Our experienced volunteers will be there to show you the ropes. All you need are some clothes you don’t mind getting wet, a towel, change of clothes and a sense of adventure! There event runs from 11am until 4pm on Monday 4th May - no booking or tickets required!
There will be refreshments afterwards for a donation. Members will be available to discuss Membership and the RYA courses we offer and answer any questions you may have.
So what's stopping you? We look forward to seeing you on the day!
