Shropshire Sailing Club We are a friendly club that aims to accommodate the interests of individuals, families, keen racers and those who just enjoy “messing about in boats”.

Whitemere provides beginners with safe sailing in attractive surroundings but the surrounding trees can give rise to fluky winds which can test the skills of the most experienced sailor. It's a delightful place to spend a sunny summer day even if you don't manage to get into a boat! New members are always welcome.

We finished!!! What a fantastic weekend full of fun, friendship and Teamwork.
The men started the WLYC 24 hour race in Force 6 (touching 7) and by contrast, the ladies finished in Force 1 -2! What a rollercoaster we’ve had.

We’re already looking forward to next year!

Starting action from the Southport 24hr race. In an unusual downwind start our Enterprise, initially sailed by Will and James, makes an excellent start crossing the start line first in their flight, much to the delight of the on-shore Salopians!!

Congratulations to the latest group of students who have successfully completed their RYA Youth Stage 1, Youth Stage 2, Adult Level 1 and Adult Level 2 sailing courses. Special thanks to our wonderful band of instructors for their efforts over the weekend.
Together with our keen racers we had over 30 boats on the water today, which was fabulous! Photos below:
