I can’t even put into words the last few weeks.
Probably the toughest few weeks of my life. To go from having your life and independence, to have it taken away almost overnight.
There’s been more calls and visits to GPs, 111 and A&E than I ever want to happen in my lifetime again.
To being totally unheard for months for the chronic pain I’ve lived with for the last 12 months.. to walk in and see the consultant at RJAH who took one look at me and said urgent surgery next week (tomorrow)
The swaying of emotions I have today.. ‘am I doing the right thing having surgery’ to can I live like this a bit longer and maybe it’ll get better!
I’m scared to say the least.
I can’t thank James, my parents and every single message I’ve had over the last few weeks (you’ve all bought lots of tears).
Here’s to the rollercoaster of recovery that’s about to come, but one thing I know is I’m pretty tough and won’t give up (and hopefully come back even stronger)
Who knows if I’m even making sense on the concoction of medication I’m taking, but here’s to Thursday when I’m hopefully back and up walking pain free again!
