Ask any motocross rider to name the brands that they recall from back in the 90’s and Fox will be on that list.

Every. Single. Time.

Fox isn’t just a gear brand. Fox is a culture. A mindset. An attitude that has been embedded in the DNA of motocross. From the iconic helmets and jerseys worn by the greatest riders in the world, to the way Fox has consistently pushed the boundaries of what motocross gear can look and perform like, this brand has always been right at the cutting edge.

Think back to the golden era of the 90s and 00s motocross that VMXdN exists to celebrate. The Fox gear on those riders wasn’t just functional. It was iconic. It was cool in a way that only motocross cool can be, raw, fearless and completely unapologetic.

That spirit hasn’t changed. Fox Racing in 2026 carries the same fire, the same passion, and the same commitment to riders and the community that have always set it apart.

Come and check out FOX Racing at VMXdN Hawkstone this August Bank Holiday weekend

Team Waldi may be a newcomer to this year’s VMXdN Wright Engineering Race, but it fields three riders who are all well-known faces across both the British and Evo paddocks. They arrive with experience, heart, and a story behind the name.

The team is managed by Jason Fountain, a true two-wheel enthusiast, with two-strokes and twin shocks very much part of his DNA. A rider himself, Jason knows all about winning races; he was a regular front-runner in the MX Thumpercross Series and a class winner on more than one occasion. He brings that same competitive instinct and passion to the management role.

Team Waldi is a heartfelt tribute to Jason’s son George Fountain, who passed away in 2023. George shared his dad’s passion for everything two-wheeled and could hold his own on both vintage and modern machinery, earning him a place on the Chambers KTM team. The name carries a deeply personal meaning: he had a habit of calling everyone “Waldi” once he got to know them, a term of warmth and familiarity that, over time, became his own nickname as well. And so Waldi 57 was born.

The team comprises three of George’s good friends.

First up is Charlie Putnam on the number 25 plate, aboard a Honda CR250. Charlie is currently competing in the MX1 class of the British Championship and brings sharp, current-competition form to the team.

Gareth Artus carries the number 26 plate and is no stranger to the VMXdN and Farleigh Castle podiums, having stood on both in 2025. Currently competing in the Evo Series, he heads into the Wright Engineering Race with race fitness and podium-level ambition firmly intact.

Rounding out the trio on the number 27 plate is Ben Putnam. Ben likes to throw his hat in the ring at British Championship rounds and mix things up, and he certainly gave Sam Sunderland and Brad Anderson a run for their money at Farleigh Castle last year, demonstrating exactly the kind of pace that makes him a name to watch.

Every lap turned by Team Waldi at Hawkstone will be ridden in George’s memory.

VMXdN Hawkstone takes place over the August bank holiday weekend, 27–30 August 2026.

Tickets are on sale now. See link in our bio

See you all at the end of August đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„
We have a strong team this year đŸ’ȘđŸ»
It ll be unveiled soon

17/06/2026

Doug Dubach is a regular at the Farleigh Castle vets event, having raced at 13 of these events since its inception, and is the only racer to win three classes on one weekend when he was a member of the winning USA squad, the +50 and twin shock classes at the OG vets race, formed in 2009. This year, the event is in its 17th year and will be held on its traditional mid-September dates, 10th – 13th.

Born in 1963, Dubach began his passion for motorcycles on a Briggs and Stratton minibike. After a few years, he got an XR75 and rode it as often as he could at Saddleback Park. He started racing just before his 15th birthday, on a Yamaha YZ80. Doug quickly moved from 80 Novice to 80 Expert in just four months!

He began his pro career in earnest at the 1982 Carlsbad National, finishing just behind Jeff Ward (Ward was 9th; Dubach was 10th). He continued racing Supercross and Nationals as a factory Yamaha racer. His greatest race would be the 1991 San Jose SX, where he took the win. Dubach kept racing professionally until his last gate drop in 2001.

Dissatisfied with other aftermarket companies, Dubach started his own accessory business. His deep understanding of products, developed through his work as a magazine test rider and developer for Yamaha and his own DrD products, set a solid foundation for his business.

Dubach remains active in vet motocross racing and holds an unbeatable record in the World Vet Championships, with 27 titles and counting! In addition, he has always exhibited a super-positive attitude when dealing with the public, a great enthusiasm for all things moto, and is a humble family man to boot.
Doug Dubach has been selected as this year’s Edison Dye Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient!

Beyond the racing, Farleigh Castle Vets MX offers a full weekend of motocross culture, set against the historic Somerset backdrop that’s made it a firm fixture on the UK motocross calendar. Gates open at noon on Thursday, September 10th, giving fans time to wander the trade village and open paddocks, catch up with friends and rivals, take a track walk, or admire the array of lovingly restored two-strokes and twin shocks before the gate drops on a sixty-strong line-up of racers past and present on Saturday morning.

It’s evo racing the way it used to be, two-stroke smoke and all, and tickets are on sale now - link in the comments

One team returning to action in The Wright Engineering Race is Team Otto Off Road. Spearheaded by entrepreneur and bike trader Dan Whitehead, and the man behind the meticulous builds of three of the trickiest CR 250s on track. These Hondas are as special as you will find, and Dan’s not scared to throw his hat into the ring to go racing. Team finished third in 2025, and the squad is back together and is looking for further success in 2026.

On the number four machine will be 30-year-old Harry Bradley from Tamworth. Bradley, a very well-known face in the British MX scene, has had his share of success, being crowned 2016 Acerbis MX1 champ and 2022 Bridgestone MX Nationals Amateur MX1 champ. He is out on the bike when he can, in between his dad duties and director duties at SM Pro wheels.

Matt Bayliss will be on board the number 5 machine. The 32-year-old from Crowthorne in Berkshire is a regular face in the Arenacross scene and champion in both MX2 and 125 Bridgestone and MX Nationals in 2024, he is looking forward to some aggressive action in the Shropshire sand.

The number 6 plate will be Josh Taylor. Who is currently competing in the British championship series. Taylor is raring to get on the evo machine for the biggest celebration of two strokes in the world.

The riders have the familiar trio of mechanics, Dan Whitehead, Ben Owens, and Ben Cannings, who are all more than acquainted with these two-stroke machines and will have them dialled come race weekend and back up with support and parts from Tim Gower. GET racing motors run on Syntol Lubricants. Owen ORP, Madison, AC groundworks, Motoshack, Central wheels, DM supplies, TWS, SPD factory developments, DocWob, William bro’s racing, CRM carbon, One Industries, GUTS and ODI.

Take full advantage of it being a bank holiday weekend, as the four-day weekend starts when the gates open at 12 noon on Thursday, August 27th. With the annual Show’N’Shine display, autograph signing, trade village and beer tent with big-name DJ, there is plenty to keep you entertained before the racing action on Saturday, August 29th and Sunday, August 30th.

The sun is out, the bikes are being prepped, and VMXdN Hawkstone 2026 is starting to feel very, very real.

But before we get completely carried away with the excitement of it all, we need to talk about something important.

International riders, listen up

We need your start permission

Sort it now. Tick it off the list. And then get back to the garage, get back on the practice track, and get yourself absolutely ready for VMXdN Hawkstone 2026

Because when that gate drops on August 29th, we want you on that start line.

With a 100% attendance record representing his country at VMXdN, Brad Anderson is a no-brainer pick for the 2026 Team GB squad. He has an impressive record, having been on the podium of every event to date. One thing you can take to the bank is that Anderson will put in 100% effort; he won't leave anything on the table.

Who could forget his legendary performance in the first-team race of the 2025 VMXdN, where he battled with former world champion Chris Pourcel and took the win in front of his home fans.

Ando, as he is known around the paddock, will, as always, be racing a Steve Clitheroe-prepped machine. He is currently testing both the 250cc and 500cc options before deciding which to line up with when the gate drops on the most anticipated event on the British MX calendar.

The entertainment doesn’t stop at the racing, with the ever-so-popular beer tent, the Show’N’Shine, packed trade village, autograph signings, new gear and bike launches, not to forget our main sponsors The Range, who will be there with a lorry full of stock to sell, and owner Chris Dawson on the mic, it’s an assault of the senses!

If you wanted to make the weekend even more mint.... if that’s possible? There are a VERY limited number of VIP camping spots on the terraced area between the hill and the start, where you can watch the action from your awning with your friends and family.

With ticket sales currently over 300% of the 2025 numbers, this event is shaping up to be as epic as expected. The guys at VMXdN have secured extra adjacent camping fields to fill demand. With more big names being announced weekly, this is certainly one not to be missed.

Saturday, Sunday, Weekend Tickets, and Camping Passes are available now - hit the link in the comments below
