Quick recap of the work we did over the weekend and start of the week

… a lot of posts and a lot of rail, 750 metres of it, and we’re chuffed with the result- we hope you all are too.

Just some background to this, our gallops are ALL WEATHER- they’re constructed from silica sand, carpet fibres and shredded rubber, a permeable tarmac base lies beneath which is laid on top of drainage stone and cross drains

These drains feed into the open ditch that runs alongside most of the gallop’s length- this open ditch is the reason we must have rails to keep everyone safe should they veer off track!

We’re finished!… well mostly, a couple posts to straighten here and there but we are back open

The new railings are up and the gallops are groomed, bookings online so please give us a visit 🐎

The weekend military-style operation, removing the old rails, pulling the stakes, topping and prepping the margin, reinstalling the stakes and then the new rail didn’t go quite to plan- we hit a few snags along the way BUT we hope to be finished by mid week 😬

The A team is in full swing and will have the job done properly and ASAP 🫡

And just like that the grass is gone… just a reminder, everyone is welcome to make use of our grass margins when using the gallops (with much more extensive choice to come!)

Don’t forget the cool down route around the field at the top of the gallop 💨

Introducing our new membership options at Broomhill Gallops-

We wanted to keep things simple, flexible, and better value for regular users — whether you visit solo, with a friend, or as a full yard.

Solo Membership – £45/month
Perfect if you usually come alone with one horse. Unlimited monthly access for 1 horse with one booking permitted per day.

Standard Membership – £65/month
Probably the most popular option. Unlimited monthly access for up to 2 horses with one booking permitted per day.

Yard Membership – £120/month
Designed for yards or groups wanting maximum flexibility. Unlimited monthly access for up to 4 horses with one booking permitted per day.

All memberships can be booked through the website just as easily as before, with simple online booking and account management.

We’ve also updated our PAYG pricing to make things fairer and better value across the board — and we hope you think so too.

Slots can be shared with other riders who also hold membership or have booked a PAYG slot.

Need something more tailored? We can also create custom packages to suit individual requirements, so please get in touch if needed.

More improvements coming soon, including BRAND NEW running rail 😬 please bare with us we are pushing this as fast as we can alongside the farm work, thanks

We’ve now changed over to our new website due to technical issues with the previous one.

For the time being, the old website will still be open with a message to direct you to the new site before it is switched off completely in the near future.

Booking appointments remains just as simple as before, and our updated pricing structure is now live on the alongside the new online memberships. We believe the new pricing offers better value, and we hope you think so too.

We are offering 3 different membership options, which will be explained in a separate post shortly.

We can also offer tailored packages to suit individual needs, so please feel free to get in touch if you require something a little different.

Good afternoon all!

We thought it was time for a bit of a refresh at Broomhill Gallops.

Over the coming weeks, you may notice a few changes — including a new website and refreshed branding. Don’t worry, the booking process and general use will remain just as simple as before… the changes are mainly down to boring admin and behind-the-scenes improvements!

For those who may not know the story behind the gallops, they were originally built back in 2002 and have been part of the farm ever since. What started as a private facility was opened to the public 5 years ago, with the aim of providing an accessible, welcoming place for horses of all levels to train, exercise, and enjoy.

Since then, the support from local riders, trainers, and owners has been incredible, and we genuinely appreciate every single person who has visited, shared posts, recommended us, or supported the gallops in any way.

We’re now looking to continue improving the facility over time, with ongoing upgrades and investment planned to make the experience even better for everyone. Please bear with us while some of these improvements are taking place.

Thank you again for all the support so far — it genuinely means a lot to a small rural business like ours, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.
