What a game of football! 👏⚽️
If you missed this one, you genuinely missed a fantastic morning of football.
From the first whistle, St Faiths Dynamos came to compete and deserve a huge amount of credit. The first half was a hard-fought battle, with both teams working incredibly hard, making challenges, competing for every ball and showing plenty of determination.
Shouldham eventually found the breakthrough in the 12th minute through Cole, who added another before Zack made it 3–0 just before half-time.
Half-time: 3–0.
The second half was a completely different story. The physicality of the game increased, and once Shouldham found their rhythm, the goals started to come.
Jacob opened the second-half scoring before Cole completed his hat-trick and then added another moments later. Kai got in on the action, followed by Zack, who went on to complete his own hat-trick.
Kai then added another to round off an impressive second half for SMUFC.

The scoreline might suggest a comfortable afternoon, but St Faiths deserve real credit for their attitude and effort, particularly in that first half. Football isn't always about the final score, and their players kept going and competing right until the final whistle. 👏
For our team, though, it was another really positive performance. The movement, attacking and link play and finishing in the second half were excellent, and there were plenty of things for us coaching team to be pleased with.
A very fitness and physical preseason training program, some who moaned, now looks well worth it. We look fit, physical and a strong side.
A great game, a great result and, most importantly, two teams getting out there and playing football ⚽️
