Our friends at Xsite Practical Shooting Club have opened registration for the XPSC Action Air English Nationals 2026.

This Level 3 IPSC-sanctioned match will feature 14 stages and takes place on:

NTSA English Championships 2026.

The NTSA were hosted by North Cotes Butts for this years NTSA English Championships.

It was a glorious day in North Lincolnshire.

The Championships has two elements. Slug matches and a Birdshot Standards competition.

Winner of the Slug event was Ed Murdoch , whilst Guy Thompson triumphed in the Birdshot Standards.

Successful Shotgun Safety Course for Recoil Members.

7 Recoil members passed their UKPSA Shotgun Safety Course over the weekend.

There was a high level of safe gun handling by the students.

They have now all received their UKPSA Competition Licence, qualifying them to participate in Shotgun and Mini Rifle Level 2 & 3 matches.

Last weekend at Recoil Scotland, an NROI course was delivered under the supervision of UKPSA qualified instructors.

Seven participants successfully completed both the theory and practical assessments. All passed and received their course completion certificates.

Next step is ahead. Supervised matches. This is where real experience builds. On the range, under pressure, making the right calls as a Range Officer.

Thank you to the training team (Chris Toner and Martyn Spence) for delivering a well-run course. Clear instruction, strong organisation, and patience in answering every question. And huge thanks to the all volunteers who helped as stage builders and stage shooters!

We are delighted to announce that the Scottish Masters 2026 has officially received IPSC sanction.

We are very happy to confirm that preparations are well underway.
The course of fire will be published around 2 weeks before the match.

An update about the Action Air Scottish Championships:

The match has received an IPSC Match Sanction.

A 14-stage shot in a day. Minimum of 220 projectiles required. Still time to enter! [link in comment]

Great Start to the Shotgun year at Recoil today.

28 members participating in our Club Shoot day.

We took on the NTSA Winter Postal League.

18 stages of TBT - practical with minimal movement but plenty of practical skills required.

Looking forward to a great programme of events at Recoil throughout 2026

Shotts Fired.

Yes, that was intentional.

The first ever Level 2 Mini Rifle Match is coming to Shotts. A full weekend of proper competition on 29 and 30 August, with at least nine stages. This is the club’s first Level 2 Mini Rifle match at Recoil Scotland, and it will not be a soft opener. Expect serious stages and a real match atmosphere.
