GOBY GALORE
So finally managed to take Richard Hoy out on his first ever LRF session today. I decided to try Shoreham Port as Max and I had a fair few fish from here in a very quick visit on Friday.
Conditions were much better today with the wind dying down considerably and the water had cleared quite a lot.
We arrived at approximately 7am and quickly set up initially trying to target a late bass, sadly nothing to show for this but Richard wasn't put off. A quick change to some 3g cheb rigs with SS Decoy's and a tanago stinger with some mini pink isome and he was soon into several fish.
Action was consistent throughout the day and state of tide, although it doesn't alter drastically unless they open the gates.
We ended up with well over 100 fish between us but sadly only 3 species, Rock Goby, Sand Goby and Black Goby.
I think it's safe to say that Richard enjoyed himself and we're already planning our next trip to a different venue.
Happy Lerfing
