Shoreham Rowing Club Shoreham Rowing Club is a well established rowing club with its own club house and equipment.

We are open to all ages and abilities, providing recreational and competitive rowing at both coastal and inland events.

Shoreham Rowing Club is deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic events that occurred yesterday. Our heartfelt condolences go to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with the young girl in hospital and her loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

We would like to pay tribute to HM Coastguard, Shoreham RNLI and the emergency responders who dealt with this incredibly challenging situation. Their professionalism, bravery and compassion are outstanding.

As a proud part of the local community for 164 years, Shoreham Rowing Club is thinking of everyone affected by this tragedy, both within our community and further afield.

LEARN TO ROW WITH SHOREHAM ROWING CLUB! 🚣‍♀️

Have you ever wanted to try rowing? Whether you're looking for a fresh fitness challenge, want to make the most of our local coastline and river, or simply want to connect with a passionate local sports club, our upcoming Learn to Row course is the perfect place to start.

Our structured course is designed explicitly for beginners. Under the guidance of our experienced club coaches, you will:
🔹 Learn correct, safe rowing technique on land (using rowing ergs).
🔹 Transition safely onto the water in stable beginner boats.
🔹 Understand water safety, navigation, and boat handling.
🔹 Experience the unique fun and teamwork of crew rowing!

Who can join? Adults (18+) who are reasonably active and able to swim a minimum distance in light clothing (standard safety requirement). No prior athletic background required, just a positive attitude and a willingness to try something new!

We can finally confirm the date for our open day is Saturday 21st August. If you fancy giving Rowing a try please contact [email protected] for more information and we can email you a form to fill in and confirm your place.

*** OPEN DAY UPDATE ***

Unfortunately due to the forecasted weather we have decided to cancel Sunday's open day as we would usually run it due to us not being able to get out in the boats with the wind.

We will however still open the clubhouse from 11am - 1pm for you to drop by any time and have a look around/ try out the indoor machines and have a look at the boats. If you are interested in our 4-week learn to row course starting at the end of September, we would love you to still pop by and say hi so we can give you more information.

We are really sorry for this but of course we are sport that is weather dependant.
