A pirate themed Wednesday Workout this week for no other reason than I saw a really cool Goonies t-shirt☠️

"Pieces of eight"

8 rounds
8 exercises
8 reps per exercise

As always choose weights that are within your capabilities and pace yourself. Yes the aim is to complete the workout as quickly as possible but the important word in that sentence is COMPLETE.

If you want the results then you FIND the time to put in the work.

I hear a lot of people say the words "but I don't have time" in regards to exercise and it's a lie.

EVERYONE has time. We all have the same 24hrs a day, just not everyone decides to use those 24hrs the same way.

I'm not saying that you watching TV for 2-4hrs a night isn't right or wrong, if that's how you want to spend those hrs then do it, but don't then say "I don't have time" as an excuse to not get yourself fit and healthy.

Prioritise your physical health and you will have plenty more time after your 70 to watch TV 💪🏻

Wednesday workout 21/7/21

"Don't stop me now!"

No nonsense 5km row......sort of🤨

Every 3min you have to get of the rower and perform:

5 burpees
10 KB swings
5 box jumps
10 KB clean & presses

You then get back on the rower to continue your 5km.

Here's the twist......it's a running clock⏱️

This means that the clock continues while you're OFF the rower, so it's in your best interest to get that circuit done as quickly as possible! 😬

As always please choose weights and an intensity that is within your fitness level and enjoy 👍🏻

Wednesday workout time!!!

Bicycle blackjack for you guys this week.

Really straight forward.
Complete 21cal on the attack bike then make up 21 reps between KB swings and KB clean & presses, like so:
20 swings/1 clean & press
19 swings/2 clean and presses
18 swings/3 clean and presses
Etc.....working your way through the reps until you get to the last rnd of 1 swing/20 clan and presses.
After the final clean & press it's about 2@cal on the attack bike to finish 💪🏻

3 weeks post MCL/meniscus injury and back up to 10km on the 👍🏻

Although this is the same distance I was doing I'm by no means working at the same intensity. The resistance setting is right down at L2 (pre injury I set it at L6) and I'm ok with that.
Rushed rehab is just as bad as no rehab so patience is key.

New kit alert! 🚨

Spent yesterday afternoon building up this delightful (😈) piece of kit.

99% of the equipment we have at Titus Strength Training is what you would class as "freeweight", "bodyweight" or "conditioning" equipment. This is equipment such as pull up bars, kettle bells, tractor tyres, barbells & plates, sleds, battle ropes, rowers, attack bikes etc... and although I personally believe that the majority of people would benefit greatly from including this type of equipment into their training sessions, sometimes there is no real substitute to achieve pure quad activation and aid in knee rehab than a leg extension machine.👌🏻

Can't wait to try this beauty out😬

1st rehab session back in the gym for me this morning.

Steady (no resistance) 3k on the followed by some TRX squats and some ankle weight leg extensions.

All very mellow compared to my usual leg workout but that's what's needed right now.

This week's Wednesday workout is...

BURPEE BIKE BREAKDOWN!!!

As if burpees weren't hard enough I've now broken them down into the 3 movements they're made up of😈

The workout is easy enough to follow but far from easy to complete.
Again this is a workout to attempt every few weeks/months with the aim to decrease your time with each attempt.

This morning's workout was meant to be a steady 10k on the assault bike followed by some developmental stretching to loosen off after this week's training...

My head had other ideas 🤷🏼‍♂️
