Over the winter we have had our usual clear up around the lake and island. We will be doing some reconstruction work on peg 12 (the point) where the banks are a bit drier.
During 2024 we had several group bookings all of which were sucessful either by the catch rate or the number of beers consumed, sometimes both!
Paul Wells and his best mate, Bill came in early july catching around 40 fish between them over four days. Paul bagging the most and the heaviset three large commons amongst his haul, 28lbs 7oz - 31lbs 8oz, beating Bill for once, who had several fish ranging from high teens to mid 20lbs.
At the end of January 2025, AE fisheries came in and did a successful netting to check on the progress of the C6's stocked in 2023, cropping some silvers and doing a health check, which was all good. We also had some lovely C3's delivered to us by Viv of VS Fisheries which will be a great addition. With a good mix of male and female, it will ensure that the population is well balanced going forward.
