WE’RE HIRING 🐴

Model Farm Livery & Training are looking for a new team member to join our friendly and professional yard.

35 hours per week to include weekends

We’re looking for someone who:

• Works well within a team

• Confident/experience with a range of horses

• Has an interest in classical horsemanship (desirable)

You’ll be joining a supportive, motivated team in a positive and professional environment. Riding opportunities may be available for the right candidate (training can be provided).

Daily duties include:

Feeding & watering, mucking out, poo picking, hay stations, rug changes, handling horses, assisting with farrier/dentist visits and general yard duties.

Next weekend you can join Légèreté Master teacher Sylvia Stössel as she heads up the Advanced instructor training course at Naturally Light Equitation.

Sylvia took over from Philippe Karl several years ago as he reduced his teaching schedule, and she has proved to be very popular with students and auditors alike. She deeply understands the principles of Légèreté and is able to adapt them for application suitable for each and every horse. Behind this sits many years of training in Portugal with French classical masters, and a passion for teaching the necessity of a good seat.

She is still actively training her own horses, so is also a dedicated student as well as a teacher. This means she understands the truth of the challenge for riders, and brings with her a huge amount of compassion and good humor.

This clinic welcomes a mix of licensed instructors, foundation teachers and open place riders - so there will be be something for everyone.

Join Master Teacher Sylvia Stossel as she shares the principles of Légèreté with the advanced UK group of licensed and trainee instructors.
Across three inspiring days, you’ll experience a wide range of lessons with an even wider variety of horses, all at different stages of their education. It’s a unique opportunity to observe the progressive development of horse and rider through the School of Légèreté principles.
The programme often includes theory sessions, pedagogies and exams, along with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and deepen your understanding.
Above all, it’s a welcoming and supportive community, united by a shared respect for the horse and a commitment to thoughtful, classical training.

Spring is finally coming, and now is the time to get inspired again about riding and training. Especially when the focus is on ease and harmony.

Join the Advanced Légèreté Teacher Training clinic, March 13th-15th, with Master Teacher Sylvia Stössel at the helm. The group of instructors includes foundation students as well as licensed teachers, so you will see horse and rider combinations at the beginning of their journey too. There is always a wide variety of horses, from cobs to Lusitanos, Warmbloods to Quarter Horses, so there will be plenty of variety for you to learn from.

This is a very welcoming community with a great deal of support for all; as well as access to timeless and ethical horse training in the tradition of the Ecole de Légèreté .
