Did you know that this week is National Volunteers week.
We have an awesome team with members quick to jump onto boxes, running dogs who need handlers, ring parties and to give general help.
But here are a few that deserve a little extra shout out.
Chris and Em. These guys have only been on the team for just over a year. But they've completely revolutionised the way we record stats. With them bringing their geeky expertise to the team, with precision, enthusiasm and organisation, of which our captain lacks greatly (that's me 😜)
Leigh-Ann who is in charge of the clubs finances and expenses. She makes sure that everyone is paid up with compassion and patience, and makes sure that entries and insurance is paid on time.
Lewis. Lewis is always quietly in the background. He'll be found shifting kit weekly, and has started to take a more active role in foundation, freeing me up to be else where.
Danielle. Who acts as my conscience and who gives me a boost when I'm feeling disheartened. She became AAFTs first qualified judge this year!
And a special mention to Jenny! Jenny is one of those members who is always there, always ready to go, proactive and jumps wherever she's needed without being prompted. Shes so competitive that some days I throw things at her haha, but she also holds the heart of AAFT. Always ready with a hot hot hot corned beef pie (careful now.... It's hot 😉)
